Released this morning 18 Sep 23.

Enables the free installation of an improved dash mat above the Sync screen to hopefully preclude spilled liquids from damaging the ACM (radio) module just below it.

All Lightnings made up to and including 22 Dec '22 are included in this CSP.

Owner letters will be sent the week of 2 Oct '23.

The CSP (funding and effectivity) expires on 30 Sep '24.

That was my first thought. People do strange things though. I'm [sure there's] someone [who] had put a bowl of soup up there and took a corner too fast or something. I mean, they need to put warning on lawn mowers to not trim a hedge with it.

I think the repair estimate says 0.2 hours. That's 12 minutes. Half a day estimate is how long it takes from the vehicle being accepted by the dealer until you can pick it up.

Is the build date the one on the drivers pillar? Mine says 09/22 and I assume I've covered. I previously owned a car with multiple dates printed on stickers. One on the drivers sill and another on the pillar.

The GVWR rating sticker on the drivers door pillar is your Month/Year of manufacturing, while various parts will show a variety of productions dates as they are coming from jobber plants days/weeks prior the blend date.

I misspoke, it's the other sticker in the same area, in this example the pre-production model build truck was built December 2021 [12/21] at the bottom is the blend date of 12/06/2021 [120211206]

9920 is the production sequence number found on the top of your window sticker.

I bet Ford lawyers edited the note and replaced “tighten the loose HV connection“ with “replace dash mat”.

If you are my age, there is a good chance that will happen but your truck will be fine.
