This is a dedicated video to just the MY2024 Lightning changes. Here are some highlights:
  • Lariat is only ER
  • Blue cruise is now free for only 90 days instead of 3 years with the Lariat/Platinum
  • Power deployable boards are only available as on option on the Platinum
  • Removed the partioned fold-flat lockable storage as an option to all trims
  • XLT is only SR. If you want ER, you get the Flash trim
  • 20" alloy dark carbonized wheel standard on XLT
  • Standard tow tech package on XLT and above (optional on Pro version)
  • Onboard scales have returned
  • LFP battery available later on in 2024 for XLT
  • B&O Unleashed includes 14 speakers instead of 18 on the Platinum trim
  • Charge Station Pro not included on any ER trims
  • Azure Gray Metallic and Stone Gray body colors removed. No new colors.
  • Pro Power Onboard 9.6kW is now optional on the Lariat
  • Active X (faux leather) optional on Lariat
The LiFePO4 battery option, the Flash value trim and re-introduction of on-board scales are all good, but so much of the rest just seems like an absolute gutting of choice and value. Yet more colors are deleted. Just like Ice Blue Silver Metallic and Dark Quartz for 2023. No option for power running boards for anyone except Platinum buyers and the most egregious, no more fold flat storage. That is one of the most useful features of the cab interior and I'm using it all the time. It also sets Ford apart from other makes and models.

I realize that Ford wanted to bring the prices down, but to me, this just seems like they gutted some of the value and removed options, instead of improving the efficiency and accuracy of their processes to do so.

Since it looks like they are no longer included, If anyone needs a Ford Charge Station Pro (FCSP), brand new, unopened, still in the box, I have one in Iowa. $850 plus shipping. I can take Venmo, Paypal. PM me for questions.

I have this option with my 2023 Lariat....and love it. Hopefully that is not gone forever.
Love, love it actually.

I watched the video and heard a few things differently than @trailcat:

- Blue cruise is now free for only 90 days instead of 3 years with the Flash/Lariat/Platinum
- LFP battery available later on in 2024 for ER Pro, XLT (i.e., SR battery)

Additionally:
Lariat doesn't show Homelink or Active Park Assist 2.0
Lariat can't add power-deployable running boards as an option.

Pricing without Destination and Delivery (now $2095)
Pro: $49,995 (same as '23)
XLT: $57,495 ($2500 more than '23)
Flash: $69,995 (same as '23 XLT 312A)
Lariat: $77,495 (same as '23)
Platinum: $89,995 ($2000 less than '23)
Platinum Black: $97,995
Thank you VERY much folks for taking the to summarize the video in text.
I was included on the 512A in 2022. My Lightning had it. It would be on the floor under the rear seat, it folds down into the floor. It can be pulled up and lock into place.
I flattened the box so that — when my seats are flipped up — the entire floor is a huge sleeping area for my lab. He loves it.

So anyone who wants to save a penny and go SR battery is out of luck to get any nice amenities? WTF? Lariat doesn't get 9.6 ProPower standard? Overall the changes make no sense. I love my Lightning but even knowing how good it is, I don't think I would have bought it if these '24 options where in place. My $22k Subaru Legacy had adaptive cruise. ZERO reason for that to not be standard on XLT and up.

A big draw was bidirectional capability, which is now getting rolled out from other automakers. Kia has partnered with Wallbox for instance. If I didn't have a Lightning already, these changes would not make me want a '24. I'd wait.

In the video, I don't remember any mention of the heat pump. We know it will be in the Flash trim, but can anyone confirm it will be standard across all trims?

I'm glad I ordered the Lariat ER this year instead of 2024. I wouldn't have been able to add the power deployable boards or partioned lockable storage, plus, I'd have to pay extra for the Pro Power Onboard 9.6kW and only get 90 days of free Blue Cruise.
SAME. 2023 Lightning Lariat was a good buy (if you got great pricing after the price cut)

Also a Ford rep confirmed on X that heat pump is on all models.

Ya I wish they had made blue cruise available on XLT low trim. You can option it onto any XLT ice configuration, and it is on all Mach-e. Why not have it on all XLT and above lightning?

Yes....2023 Lariats for the win!
2023 Lariat!
I was looking through the info and each item made my happy with my purchase....with 1 exception.

I really would like the onboard scale :/

Not a need, really just a "nice have"

Edit: I would also like a Heat Pump for greater efficiency. However, I'm in Florida and I will basically never use the heat.

I am actually really glad I don't have the onboard scale. Not only do I think it won't be very useful, but it prevents you from doing any suspension changes whatsoever because of the measured suspension drop while carrying weight. You can be carrying nothing but the vehicle will still think you're carrying 1000 pounds in the bed with a 3 inch drop. That almost certainly will affect battery output, driving dynamics, etc. etc.

No more Azure Grey Metallic? Why??
Too popular, apparently. Mine is Azure Gray and I love it, but Im seeing so many trucks and Broncos in that color lately that it’s kinda insane.
