Power-Up OTA 6.3.0 - Screens, Profiles, Charge Stats

For the updates to the GUI - on the drive mode screen - can someone with 6.3 confirm what options you have under the drive modes?

The Auto Hold is new to this screen I believe, but do you also have a 3rd option for One Pedal driving?

Mine has been showing "Not Completed" for the past two days. How do I get it to proceed? The button is grayed out and I've tried the usual dance of opening/closing doors, resetting the update schedule, turning off lights, opening/closing sunroof, turning on wipers full blast, opening/closing the charge port, driving in circles...still shows the same thing?

I usually do updates with FDRS so my experience with OTA updates are limited but I'll be ecstatic if they start coming through OTA on time now!

I had a "not completed" updated on 6.1 and it took about 5 days for it try again and complete successfully

Do you have a OBD dongle to see what your 12v SoC % is? I believe it needs to be over 80% for an OTA to work.

6.3 downloading for me now! Since 6.2 downloaded last night, I fired up the truck again today in the garage, hoping that 6.3 would arrive. Since the truck is plugged into the FCSP, I'm probably only running on auxiliary power (but is the HVB charging the LVB?).

Relative to whether the update gets announced, when I did this last night, the 6.2 download was immediately announced after one or more on/off/on cycles of the truck. No such luck today with 6.3. But I noticed that after a while, the server connection icon came on and stayed on:

Came back into the house and started reading about all the 6.3 updates going on. Back to the garage, and sure enough, there was 6.3 downloading. I seem to be following in @luebri's footsteps recently. Whenever he gets an update, I get one shortly thereafter, too!

So, two OTA updates in a row by just turning on the truck in the garage while plugged into the FCSP and, for the second, letting it sit a while running. With my 1-bar of cellular connectivity, it took about 8 hours for the download and install of 6.3 to complete.

Edit_Update: To answer my own question about LVB being charged while truck is running plugged into my FCSP. YES! The LVB is being charged. By the iOS Car Scanner, my LVB voltage is 14.45. The LVB SOC is only 79% after an ~hour of running like this, so the OTA update while the truck is on, as outlined by @rugedraw and others, doesn't depend on the LVB SOC being >80% (just went past 80% SOC while writing this, so the SOC is definitely on the way up, not the way down as the truck sits running plugged into the FCSP). I've turned off automatic power-down on the Vehicle tab of the Syn screen. AC, fan, all lighting but dash and Sync screen off.

BTW, relative to OTA updates depending on AT&T cellular strength, I only noticed/paid attention to the cellular strength indicator after the 6.2 update and reading posts about needed cellular connectivity. I only get 1 bar of truck cellular connectivity in my garage. Maybe the "small improvement" that 6.2 is all about, supposedly improving the delivery of future updates, is at least partly an improvement in cellular connectivity?

Yup, y'all blown the doors of me this round, had the truck out and about today, NADA.
I just finished my weekly Friday evening charging session, hoping that helps get me 6.2 & 6.3.

The Apple Maps is awesome. Siri tells you at what percentage you will arrive, where you need to charge. I’m looking forward to more features with Apple Maps in the Future.

Yeah I’ve noticed a few minor bugs, like when you go out to the route overview then back into the standard navigation view sometimes the charge info disappears for good. Re-routing seems to bring it back. Once in a while the percentage gets stuck and stops updating.

But really that feels like a super minor issue compared to how well it works overall. The accuracy is honestly better than the Ford built in one!

@Ford Motor Company - I just left a voice memo in the truck but in addition to the Ford Voice assistant and button not working after the 6.3.0 update - I noticed the built in Alexa integration is no longer active or present in any of the menu subsystems even though the trial is active in my subscribed services.

Not sure if this is just affecting me or others as well - I have not seen any other report of this but other people may not have been using these features. I may start a fresh thread for it.

Mostly while driving, because of the way the OTA triggers work. If you get sent an OTA now, it sits in your queue until you turn the ignition on or start the truck. That is what provides "consent" for the OTA to download and install. Since most people start their truck when they are going to drive it, the updates download while the vehicle is driving. This only applies to OTA's do not require the vehicle to be inhibited. Updates that require the vehicle to be inhibited are given consent to install by your auto-updates schedule.

I was of the opinion that the truck would use wifi, if available, to download updates. The attached FordPass screen was the source of my belief.

The 6.2 update began downloading immediately after I turned my truck "on" while in my driveway today. I was not able to determine if the download was occurring via wifi or vehicle cellular, but turning the truck "on" was definitely a trigger to initiate the download.

Oh, I am 100% confident that when an OTA trigger is created for a truck, turning the ignition to on is what triggers the download to start. Unfortunately, no resource that I know of will confirm if the truck used wifi or cellular data to download the files. What I can tell you is that PTS has a field in that denotes if wifi is required for an OTA and I have never seen the word "yes" in that field in hundreds of Ford vehicles I've checked over the course of the past two years.

Have you monitored LVB SOC change with the truck "off" and while charging on the FCSP? It may be that turning the truck "on" engages the HVB contactor and that is what initiates charging of the LVB, whether the truck is on the charger or not.

About an hour ago, I got into my truck while parked in the driveway. I powered up the truck in Accessory mode and saw a message for a failed update. I depressed the brake and powered up to full "on", and the 6.2 update began to download immediately. It took about 40 minutes to download and install.
