Hello folks,

I just received an email from Ford that my truck has an open service action that needs my attention. When I log in to my Ford account, I see 3 listed "Customer Satisfaction Programs" (image attached). Is this an across the board thing? Anybody else getting these and know anything about it? I'll call my dealer, but I'm sure they'll be clueless. There's no issues with the truck and no errors showing up on FordPass.

You have 3 CSPs. You can a) make an appointment to get them done, or b) wait, and do them later (some are also OTA updates so if you wait you don't need to take it in).

These are in fact "issues with the truck".

I also have open RECALLS, like the stoplight, so I'm getting it all done.

Anyone know why 23B57 is still present even though I’ve upgraded to the latest code in FDRS? Do I have a bad module?

Not necessarily. That one seems to be hanging around for all of us, even though it has been completed.

If you do an individual search for the campaign codes 23B21, 23B57, etc. you'll find oodles of posts and comments to bring you up to speed. Especially 23B57 (the battery module one).

I think Ford made a mistake by not separating this one into two actions: one for the software update and one for the module replacement. I’m guessing they are leaving it open because even after the software update there could be a module failure that requires replacement. By combining them they confused the dealers and there’s no good way to track who got the software update.

I received the email, even though I picked the truck up last Thursday and all CSPs and recalls were done.

I received this email to day as well, I've already scheduled a visit with my dealership to get everything addressed.

Also moved this thread where many other matters are documented....

Received the email too. Just for fun I called the number and they told me I needed the light bar and the 23B57, a fun game of I had that done, no you didn’t, yes I did, no you didn’t, yes I did, no…oh wait yes you did…ensued. Bottom line is no one seems to know why they’re keeping it open, but I think it’s as @carys98 suggests.

I had all of my recalls and CSP's taken care of the same day. It took them almost two weeks for them to clear from my account. As others the Battery SW update is still there and I also received that email today.

Nothing Unusual Here. If you had gone on line to your Ford account and input your VIN, you'd have seen these items. All this is is Ford proactively reaching out to folks who have open items. I determined weeks ago that I had four items. I contacted my dealer to schedule a time for them to fix the four items.

The Ford dealer where I went for the light bar and wiper motor recalls said I didn’t need the wiper motor service even though I had the Ford recall letter, and that the CSP items were not to be done since the truck had no symptoms of problems.

Is that how the CSP things work? Seems as if others on this forum
are getting them attended to.

The wiper motor issue requires a visual inspection, apparently not all motors have the problem and don't need to be replaced, they should clear the recall once the inspection or replacement is completed.

They need to read the CSPs more closely. Here is the text from the battery and the Dash Mat CSPs that state they should be performed on ALL vehicles.

I imagine the dealers read and understand the CSPs, but a few choose to ignore them if possible because of the Corporate allowance of only 0.6 man hours for the BECM software update.

The module replacement allowance of only 8.2 man hours seems equally unfair.

Sometimes we vent anger towards the Dealers, when we forget the dealer didn't decide to go on this EV adventure, and they can't afford to lose the kind of money Corporate is absorbing.

A few of these dealers are still small independent businesses.
