Your 70% shows higher than my 80%. (y)
Do not correlate the 70% LVB SOC to the projected Range of 264, BTW my HVB SOC was 89% in that shot.

Was out with the family at BestBuy, and as soon as I parked I received notification of an update saying it will install tonight. I said do it now instead and it did the normal countdown.

When coming back from shopping, the display acknowledged the successful installation. However I noticed issues with my speakers and not all them had music coming out. So I rebooted the APIM and then all was well.

EDIT: I also got a survey for the 6.5 update and what I thought out it. I added my thoughts, and I took some of the comments people said and incorporated into that survey as well.

I got the 6.5 update yesterday morning and installed it. I checked FDRS last night and only had an IPC update which I installed.

Received 6.5 yesterday evening. My minor adjustment was to drop the front motor temporarily. Preconditioned just fine this morning, started the truck up and backed out of the garage, the truck felt sluggish backing out so I changed screens and was greeted with reduced power to 56%. Turned it off and on, still the same. Made the executive decision to drive it and stop at Dunkin on my way to work, at least it would be closer to the dealership. Stayed at 56% the whole trip there. Shut it down got coffee, took a couple of sips, crossed fingers, and turned it on...back up to 100%.

Additional testing of plugged in departure timer this morning, conditions, balmy (WINDY) morning at 60°, figuring the battery and cabin won't need much energy this morning, surprised to see the following.

The process started at 7:25 am, for a just in time departure of 8:00am, no padding or extra delays, I unplugged the truck at 8:03 am. Entering the truck, seats warm, cabin warm, but wheel was luke warm, note the process of cabin conditioning only ran 5-8 minutes (7:55 to 8:03). I started the truck and the blower had warm air ready to use, the seats resumed their level 3 warming and the steering wheel started warming up quickly (this is the important part) previous to update 6.5.0 it would have remained cold for the entire drive cycle plus 20+ minutes of rest.

I didn't expect the large amount of high energy would be needed today with mild conditions outside, it started at about 9KW then jumped up to 18KW for 15+ minutes of the process, then tapered down during the last 5 minutes of cabin prep.

Total energy consumed as measured by the FCSP 7.392 KWH for a cost of $1.97 to get the truck ready to go.

Conclusion,, steering wheel warming works again when preconditioning while plugged in and the wheel heating continues to work during the drive immediately after departure conditioning has ended, great news for when it's really needed.

With my relatively short drives this process consumes nearly 6 times the amount of energy (shore power) compared to a 15 minute cycle of remote start. I'll reserve departure timer while plugged in only for very cold winter conditions that I will be traveling long distances, that's when the value of the process really pays off!

Proceeding to testing phase this afternoon.

Let me know if anyone has already tested the "plugged in" departure timer wheel warming issue
Any luck with with the steering wheel heat and departure time?

Interesting occurrence today. I just received OTA 6.2 a few days ago, in fact I asked in this forum how long the successfully completed message stayed on the display apparently until the next OTA was the answer. I went for a 4 mile drive today and when I got to destination I got a message that 6.5 was available for installation. Parked, selected install now, was instructed to shutdown, get out and secure vehicle so I did. 15 minutes later the update was complete. Seems I skipped 6.3 (if there was one) and 6.4.

I think 6.3 was dropped for technical problems, my truck got 6.2, 6.2-redo, 6.4, 6.5

still no joy for me on 6.5.0. 0100 ET update postponed. LVB is 91%, HVB is 85%. Feel like I need to stand in the bed holding some tin foil or something...

I came here this morning to post the same thing. Very happy with the preconditioning and HEATED STEERING WHEEL WORKING!!! Only took them 33k miles to fix it ;). I love my truck as much as the day I picked it up.

The fix was in 6.5.0
One would think the release notes writer would want to write blurb on improvements like this, many folks were complaining about it!! It's far from minor IMHO.
