Got this update tonight. Fun fact. If you leave the frunk open and the truck updates, you have to manually close it before it will operate again.

I wonder if this will help preconditioning and heated steering wheel issue @TaxmanHog
Proceeding to testing phase this afternoon.

Let me know if anyone has already tested the "plugged in" departure timer wheel warming issue

Did you happen to check the 12c SOC on ford.com? Curious what you are at.
it was 69% before the update started, an hour later I've moved the truck back into the garage, to prepare for an afternoon departure time test of the heated wheel problem.

This is what it shows right now

Received 6.4.0 on 12/11 and updated successfully to 6.5.0 last night!
LVB was over 80% last night. The truck was driven over 90 miles yesterday.
This morning the LVB is at 93%.

I got the 6.5 update the other day. I parked for the night, so I let it go ahead and install. I came out to the garage to see if was done after about 30 minutes. I started it and got the update successful message and then got a message about another update available. It was the DC fast charging update that came out a while back. I let it install and came back out after another half hour and it to said it was successful. I had a message in Ford Pass that I had the latest software referring to the DC fast charge update. Today I looked in Ford Pass and I have no alerts and in messages I don't have a notification of either update. The last message about an update was Oct. 18 when I got 6.1. Anybody else seen this?

Proceeding to testing phase this afternoon.
Positive results!!!!!!!

Setup for 3:35 PM departure time, actual leave time was 3:45 PM, still allowing for the +10 minute run time for cabin warming.

Temps in the garage was ~50 degrees, plugged in, already charged to 90%, the truck decided it needed to start preparing the battery at 2:57 PM, the process ran for 38 minutes then I received the FP alert the cabin was ready for departure. I let the process continue to 3:45.
This is the energy graph by the minute.

By the hour: consumed 3.54 KWH to warm battery and cabin & HEATED WHEEL!!!!!!

Normally I would only consume 1.3 KWH as I did early this morning with a simple 15 minute remote start, which I'll do regularly except when prepping the truck for a long winter road trip.

When I got in the truck the wheel was starting to cool down from 3:35 to 3:45 PM, but after starting the truck and taking a short drive it was toasty warm, I suspect that if I had gotten into the truck right after the alert that it was ready the wheel would have been warmer and that if not would have warmed up quickly.

Sunday I usually don't take the truck, my wife likes to drive her car at least once a week, so on Monday, I'm repeating the test but setting departure time as actual leave time [8:00 AM] hoping to see the same performance with a heated wheel while plugged in.

Delayed Fordpass alerts are a very common occurrence. I would not be surprised if the get the Fordpass alert about the update in a few days or a week.
