Posting my experience to see if anyone has seen something similar to this:

Unplugged the truck with 70 % soc. Started the truck and the gauge cluster is telling me I am limited to 56% power on the far left (like how power is limited when low on battery/cold). Then get on the Interstate and change view to power distribution and notice 100% of the power is coming from rear motor. Then exit the Interstate and see regen breaking is the same, 100% regen showing it is from the rear motor with no movement from front motor. After stopping and restarting the truck, I have full power and power distribution is normal.

Yes
Once is an anomaly, twice could be a coincidence, three times is a problem. 😝

If it was me, In the interest of my time and headaches over potentially nothing, I'd take no action unless it happens a second time. But I too am curious if anyone else has seen that kind of odd behavior.

There was a user on here who was able to replicate the issue. It seems like his profile isn't active any longer and I can't find the thread he posted his videos on. However, he found a correlation between approaching the truck with an airtag, or similar, and unplugging it from an L2 EVSE. Something happens to the front motor contacts where they dont engage, thus no power to it and only the rear is powered. He found out that if you shut off the truck and wait 1 minute 45 seconds, the relays cycle like they normally do then you can turn on the truck and the motor contacts will be engaged.

The first time this happened to me I freaked out. Its happened around 3 times since I have owned the truck (around 2 months). I just shut it off, wait the ~2 minutes and start it back up. Never had an issue beyond that, much less any messages.

Has your truck received any OTA [Software Updates] yet?

Not regularly. Truck has an issue with the gateway module and will not receive OTAs.
OK, that rules out one suspicion, that a recent update or one that applied just prior to your drive mucked something up.

The airtag thing is almost certainly unrelated. He was creating an issue by continually unplugging the vehicle.

It honestly just happens sometimes. It usually happens to me right after an OTA update. Power cycle fixes it.

Many people have posted about it here.

Happened to me once, nearly a year ago, after level2 charging. restarted truck and it was gone.

Happened once many miles and months ago. Slightly different though. Happened shortly after changing to sport mode and my front motor became full time regen and no power output. I pulled off the road, shut it off and turned it back on and all was normal again.

Have you tried a hard reset on the gateway module? If it's been that way for a while, try pulling fuse 32, wait 10 minutes and reinsert. Sometimes an update hangs it and a power reset will straighten it out. I had to do this twice for my 2023 in the early days.

As for the 56% power, I've had that a couple of times. I thought it was caused by an update that hadn't been completed but the contactor glitch seems more likely.

This happened to me last year right after an OTA update and I took it straight to the dealership. Ford also called me to inform me of a recall involving a high voltage module. It was a 9-12 hour job which took 3 days after waiting nearly 2 weeks for the part. Not sure if this is the same situation but that was my experience and it sucked. It was pretty cool to see all of the batteries dropped out of the bottom as they reprogrammed everything

Like most computers, sometimes you just need to reboot.

CTRL-ALT-DEL or the equivalent.

If the truck says something like this, watch out!

"...I know that you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.... Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye."
