@rugedraw .. I did this update on FDRS if you want to look at my vin.. The FDRS prompts are a whole thing where it says. "uploading to ford database" which I've never seen before.. I suspect that is why it was via wifi. required. It did update the software version of the OBC . It took three minutes and most of the time it was that database upload stuff...

May also be related to the (hopefully) imminent 7.0.0 BlueCruise 1.4 deployment and the 7.0.2 driver assistance updates - 7.0.0 in particular is probably a significant update.

Did you do it yesterday? FDRS prompts recorded in vehicle history don't mention anything about uploading anything. I believe you.....ijs it didn't record it.

Yes-- That's me from yesterday.. Second time was because FDRS didn't remove it... The prompt about "uploading to database" showed up on the screen as I did it. .. Maybe when @Mike G runs the update on his, he can record it?

No, I get everything ahead of the mortals because I have FDRS. I have yet to get anything through the EA program, but I've only been in it a couple of weeks so far.

In my case, if an update meses anything up, I'd be able to recover the module myself. I'd go through the motions and let the EA team know so they can do their thing in terms of what the EA program is intended for. I just wouldn't have to depend on the dealer to fix anything the update breaks.
