Let them know you're not alone.

Level 1 AC and any DC work. LEVEL 2 AC fails

How long has yours been in the shop on this?
See that’s interesting as it throws a fault for me for both L1 and L2. It just went in yesterday.

How many Amps was your L1 circuit? I was using the stock charger on 120v/20A but it wasn't pushing that much juice. I was getting a little over 1kWh, so probably about 10A or 15A off it.

I’m not sure, it just a standard 120 in the garage. I also was trying the Ford Mobile Charger on L1.

That's normal, 15amps is all the truck will pull on 120v.

Agree, that was my pre-issue experience as well. No charger outputs all the way to the the limits of the circuit Amperage. Usually they leave a decent buffer. Thus my conclusion that L1 was running fine (for me).

I think it’s actually 12A.
OOPS! Yes, you are correct. 80% rule, thanks for the correction! Truck assumes every 120v source is 15A circuit and pulls 12A.

I was having trouble with this update & finally it took last night. I think my problem was I was getting the message of a low 12 volt battery & possibly a after market device draining the battery. I took my Lightning in for the 10,000 mile checkup & they looked over the 12 volt system & said I need a new light switch.

So I'm still waiting for the switch to be replaced. After the service I started the attempts for this update which failed continually, It showed on my app that I had the automatic updates set to 2 am, which I even changed to 1 am to try something different. Last night I checked my settings in the truck which didn't show the update schedule for automatic & the time. I set it in the truck & it updated at the normal time over night. I know I'd set this in the truck before so possibly during the visit to the dealer it reset?

The thing is the app showed I had the time & automatic updates set but the truck did not.

Force-stop the app and clear the cache, (not the credentials)

I have had mine to the dealer twice. The first time they told me that they could not make any updates to the truck because Ford servers only do updates Monday thru Thursdays!?!

I quickly realized that my truck was in more peril taking it to the dealership then trying to figure it out on my own. So I contacted Ford support and they directed me to take it back and tell them that the update was failing because of a 12v battery issue (I had manually charged a couple of times to no avail). They told me to tell the tech that they would walk them through the update process via the internal TAC (technical assistance) group. When I told this to the CS rep at the dealership, he told me that they couldn’t just call the TAC group any more. They had to fill out a form online to get assistance from this group. So I asked that they fill out form form asap as I was waiting for the vehicle.

Two hours later, they indicated that they had been able to do two updates on the truck, but the DC charging update would never be done because Ford told them that it was a corrupted file.

After the updates they performed, I was able to reset my Phone as a key (PAAK) last weekend.

Yesterday, after doing a full charge, I found that I had 342 miles in the battery (previous high was 321 miles - I had my charger set to only charge to 90% but that must have gotten wiped away in the resets)

This morning, I received the notification that the DC charging update was successful.

Whatever update I got immediately prior to this one -- maybe a week ago -- seems to have broken AC charging on my 2022 Lariat Lightning. I was hoping this update would fix it, but no luck. DC max speed is, in fact, better -- up to about 120kWh -- but I STILL can't get an AC charger to work -- I have two at home that are different manufacturers and they work fine except on the Lightning. I didn't change anything on the chargers, the house, or the truck -- but auto-update was on.

Anyone else have this? It'll connect, go from white ring to blue ring for a few seconds, then when the electricity starts flowing, it goes to an orange ring and I get no charging. Only happens on AC.
Same problem here. Curious to know if you find that visiting a different location (far enough away for the truck to know the difference by GPS) temporarily fixes it for you; it seems to for me. See this thread...

It's in my dealer service center's hands now. I started getting the fault notices yesterday so I know they're running into the problem.

For those following along it home, it was not the software. It was a physical problem with the charging port hardware, which has been replaced and solved the issue.
