Since it is pressfit, can I leave it mounted and just push it on? Or do you take the original grill off?

You shouldn't have to remove it to install it. I removed mine to measure for the design and test fit. My 23' didn't have a grill but I'm not sure if it's been redesigned in the newer models

I thought my 2023 didn’t have a front sound either but if you drive with the windows down and next to a wall or fence you’ll hear it.
im actually in the opposite camp and I’d like to make my front one louder? Anyone have ideas for how to do that?

I've seen folks mention this a few times and I think that's just the sound of the motors themselves. My truck makes an audible high pitch whine when accelerating from a stop or when regening to a stop. It has since the day I bought it, and I also removed the pedestrian warning system. If you look at the Cyber truck it also has a very audible motor whine. I think it's just a byproduct of these motors being quite significantly larger than an EV cars. I only hear my friends Y whine at full throttle, where my truck sounds pretty scifi when I roll from a stop.

I like it, not sure there's anything you can do to make it louder or quieter. I find it turns heads more often because folks aren't used to a high pitch spin up lol.

They're talking about the space-craft hum you can hear (windows open and/or close to a wall) below 20mph.

[EDIT] And by posting a link to the video below I'm ONLY referencing the sound. Modding or disabling a safety feature (for them, not you) on an EV is one of the more stupid things you can do.

I misinterpreted the front to mean front of truck (where there is no speaker but could be front motor whine) but now I see they were talking about the pedestrian warning when in Drive moving forward.

Crank up the A/C during summer, it is as loud as an ICE engine at low RPM.

The only time I am aware the speaker is working is in the garage, It certainly doesn't need to be quieter.
