If you bought an extended warranty from the dealership, price put an online dealer like Granger or Flood. You probably paid 50% more. Cancel yours and get a refund.

Tax credit is up to $1,000 based on 30% of charger and install price, IF you qualify. New location requirement in 2023.
How do I cancel any of those things if they were all part of the fiance?! I got like almost every one of them. The main was 10yr 100k, some 7s, a 5yr, I think one 8 yr? Of other misc stuff

You wait till everything goes through. Maybe when you get your first bank statement, then you call the dealer and cancel them. They will refund the cost directly to the bank, and your principle will be reduced, most banks will not count this as a payment.

I've done this twice as I found out that if you really stick to a price, they get to the point where they lower the cost of the vehicle in order to sell the warranty. Ex with made up numbers, Agreed price on vehicle is 50k, the warranty is 2k, I refuse to pay any more than 1.5k for the warranty. After 45+ minutes of back and forth, the finance guy talks the sales guy in to selling the truck for 45.5k and the warranty for 2k. Same total price to me. After a month they've all got their commissions so they don't even fight when I call to cancel the 2k warranty and I just got an extra 500 off the car. Then I go buy the warranty from Granger since it's a real Ford warranty and not some crazy-ass 3rd party that's going to be a nightmare to use.

I would not wait. Never done it, but you should do it sooner rather than later is my recommendation.

I would not wait. Never done it, but you should do it sooner rather than later is my recommendation.

I kind of went hog wild and bought a bunch. Normally, I don't get warranties for anything but I had no idea what was going to be associated with this EV lol

Yeah, the "all the warranties" was weird to hear and I thought you just misspoke. Now, I'm thinking you got taken for a ride.
I didn't plan anything out, didn't argue, didn't negotiate, I was just going in and seeing what they had and fell in love with the truck and wanted it lol It was nice to not worry or stress about anything for a change. Looking back, I could have been smarter, made different choices, but it's okay! I'll look into the warranties more and go from there. Don't want to add too much more stress, I'm already full with that 🤣

So yeah, went through with quite estimate on qmerit (because sunrun employee told me they don't do the installs anymore lol) and they gave me a generic estimate based on my situation of 1600 without any taxes or permits included. So yeah, I'm pretty bummed and frustrated.
Sounds like worst case with you. You didn't have time to do your own diligent research prior to pulling the trigger on purchase, and your salesperson wasn't very knowledgeable about the home charge install landscape-- if they recommended sunRun any time in the last 2-3 months they're behind the 8-ball.

1600 for a bidirectional home charger install (assuming you stick with the ford solution) is in my opinion a STEAL. IN comparison, I bought the XLT so no chargeStation thrown in. I had electricians install a Nema port instead, and I was all in through qMerit for 1100, and happy about it. Then I had the same electricians install a generator port and generac which will end me up probably in the 4k range. So what I paid ~5k for, you'd be getting for ~1500, if that makes that hit feel less bad. I weighed my options with the ford-specific solution against the likelihood that I'll be using other tech down the line, so paid out of pocket up front on it in comparison.

If you'd given yourself time to research this all out (and maybe not had to deal with such an unknowledgeable salesperson) I think this specific bit would be less of a shock to you. Hope that's a bit helpful

I definitely appreciate this comment. Makes me feel less silly about everything. I mean, I'll probably end up having it installed because I don't want to be without and the home electricity price is the whole coats savings either these EVs nowadays. Out and about? It's not really all that great. I've checked into the electrified America rates for charging since Ford gave like 25p for free and it's not even 2 full charges worth lol the price was pretty expensive too without the free charging hours. Ony really makes sense when charging at home.
Yup, public charger reliance is more expensive than gas IMO. Home charging is a bit of a hit up front for hopefully ~10 years of cheap electricity bliss.

Check also with your power company, if yours is like mine they offer extreme discounts if you use power off-peak. I pay 8 cents per kwh when I have the truck's schedule set to. We did have to switch "plans" with the company to realize the extreme savings
