No way to Prepare Cabin Off-Plug on 2024 models?

Recently upgraded my Lightning to the 2024 flash, only to discover there was no option to prepare the cabin off plug under departure and comfort.

Anyone else with a 2024 able to confirm this? Trying to understand if they took this feature away for some reason, or if it's just a glitch I need to get sorted out.

Both, I can setup a departure and comfort schedule, but there is no option to have it work if the truck was not charged the night before/ on the plug

It's under my departure times in FordPass, 2023, can't post a picture right now for whatever reason but it's there and should be in yours too.

22's & 23's are fine, I also have the switch visible, we discussed this problem in a recent thread.

I also found that the switch for off plug departure time preconditioning, which is only really cabin conditioning is now missing on my 22 Lariat ER, it's been a good long minute since needing to use that switch in the truck on the sync screen.

No, I was hoping that was the case. But doesn't seem to work. It's not a big deal right now with the good weather, but come winter It's a huge deal. Truck has to live outside, and having it preconditioned save me hearing it up or scraping ice before work in the morning.

I guess the workaround is to set yourself an alarm on your phone to remember to do a remote start before your departure.

Pre conditioning is an overloaded term. There's "Preconditioning the battery" which means getting your battery to the ideal temp. This uses a bunch of power when temps are far off 75F, so it's really only a good idea to do it if you're plugged in. Then there's "preconditioning the cabin" which mean making it comfortable for passengers, this just turns on the climate controls which will require less energy than getting the battery to a certain temp. Read that setting as "Do you want the cabin comfortable regardless of if you are plugged in or not?" Which might be ideal for setting up a departure time for when you leave the office if they don't have EV charging available.

The overarching purpose of that switch is to have you acknowledge the impact of a perpetually repeating schedule driven by what you post in the departure timer schedule.

There is a 2 events limiter for remote starts aka departure timed starts, will kick in and save our bacon, by not allowing a third event to commence until the START button has been pushed for a drive/run cycle.

Even if you do drive it daily or periodically during the week but only charge once a week, this could eat into your energy consumption with little or no benefit.
