o get back on topic though, I am not sure a class action suit is viable or warranted at this point. You just need to have the current system software for all components.
Which nobody at Ford is making any effort to implement in a timely manner. This disaster of a system has been sold and installed since 2022, and they're just not getting around to maybe giving some people a software update that may make it work better. "You might need to spend 3 years begging for someone to do something to maybe make it work" was not part of the deal.

I don't disagree with you. The system should have been flawless from first delivery.

The issue is that a product not working as expected is probably not going to win a case. You would actually have to be harmed in order to make a class action suit viable. Only those who lost food or income, or health during a power outage where the HIS failed to do its job would likely have a case. Just having a system, that is now fixed for free (regardless of how you feel about the process) it likely not enough.

I personally have a stronger case than most, because I lost power for 5 days back in May, and was not able to use my PPO due to my truck being in the dealer shop for a bad battery module (this was before having the HIS system). I lost some food etc, although I certainly was not financially harmed more than a small claims court case, and even that would be a stretch.

Until people die in their sleep because of a failed HIS system causing their medical devices to stop working, it is going to be a stretch.

I would prefer to help people get their systems working and make it better for everyone.

That's the problem. It's not fixed. Maybe yours is. But everyone else who bought a think and demonstrates that it doesn't work absolutely has grounds for a suite. The loss is you paying $10,000 for parts and labor for product that is defective and does not work as advertised. This is further substantiated by Ford and Sunrun literally telling their customers "yeah it doesn't work and we don't know why, sorry, bye."

I am trying to understand if you actually have an HIS and if you would like it working. I think there are plenty of people here who would be glad to help including myself. Yes maybe Ford and Sunrun can't get their **** together, but we can. Delta is not the issue unless there was a straight up installation error with wiring.

I don't have a HIS because I read about what a dysfunctional and unreliable mess it is before spending the money on it. I want a HIS, but I'm not paying for a dysfunctional and unreliable system that may or may not ever work. For the sake of discussion, lets say your firmware update totally fixes everything (doubtful to be accurate). There is no way to even assure I will get that firmware update because Ford's OTA system is a similar mess.

As I have a HIS that has been non functional 98% of the time, and having just gone through hurricane Milton and the tornados that caused tremendous power issues... I bought the system so I would have a whole house "generator" and not have to go out in blinding rain, raging winds, park the truck halfway inside and outside of the garage within a few feet of the FCSP and manually pair the truck to the FCSP while all this is happening to provide power to my house... I bought the system where they showed the truck in the driveway a distance from the house, the power going off and the power coming on automatically as they are preaching safety and security. That is what I was sold... That is what I expect to have recieved. Now saying all that, if they get it working SOON all sins are forgiven and forgotten, but they need to get it fixed. It really is that simple....

I really like what you wrote, but if possible, I think having the truck entirely within the garage during a storm would be a better option (maybe you mean the halfway in/halfway out option just for pairing, not BPT?). I worked hard to make mine fit in my garage. It just barely does. Especially in Florida's heat in the summer sun, sheltering your truck entirely in a garage might be good for the EV battery, too. The driveway outside our garage in San Antonio has a southern exposure, and the truck would roast between the driveway heat and the heat reflected off the brick garage walls if I left mine out during July and August here. My FCSP is within a few feet of the left rear passenger door. If FCSP distance is really a problem, maybe the best thing to do would be to move the FCSP location so it's at least in line with the rear seats. My system will work (sorta) with the right rear passenger seat up, all doors and windows closed, a variety of BT devices on in the vicinity, and the left rear passenger door directly in front of the FCSP, a few feet away. Hope the fix comes SOON to us all to make the system ALWAYS work fully automatically, as the initial Ford ads trumpeted-and as you rightly pointed out, Ford has utterly failed to deliver.

Sorry that it is not working great for you. On my system I can park the truck fully in the driveway (although I have not tested with the garage door closed). I will also say that my charge station pro is just inside the garage by the door as well. I have not had to do anything else crazy like put the seat down or open the windows, etc. I intend to have the truck fully in the garage under power outage conditions.

I will say that I don't think there is any reason why you would ever have to re-pair the bluetooth, or cycle power to any device (other than the truck itself). After a lot of testing and figuring things out, I am fairly confident that the FCSP and delta pieces are not the actual culprit in systems not working. I am quite sure it is the truck modem. For the people who get their systems working after letting the CSP sit for 24 hours, etc. I believe it is actually the truck resetting after that time that is getting the systems to work.

With the recent updates, I no longer have any issue except when the truck modem is out. The truck modem has plenty of other symptoms to identify it as well. I also believe after recent updates, the truck modem issue is from using the sync Alexa app primarily.

What software of the truck, FCSP, and Delta inverter are you on? I think we can get your system a lot more reliable without Ford, Sunrun, etc.

I am also having issue with mine. I can not get it to work. The best thing it does, is it sends power to the inverter and wont send power to the main panel (house). I just got ECG-24.2.5.6.2.2 updated this week. Do you know if ECG-24.2.5.6.2.2 will update the Bluetooth firmware?

If the truck sends power but the inverter isn't sending further to your backup panelboard, I would think you either have a communication error on RS-485 lines, or your transfer switch WHB200 isn't being seen by the inverter. You aren't turning off a breaker or disconnect between the inverter and WHB are you?

I don't have a critical load panel, it's going straight to the main panel done by a license electrician. He double checked the wiring yesterday from the Delta diagram. I will be showing this thread to my electrician.
