Granted I researched the eff out of this truck before I bought it, during the test drive the sales guy had no idea what 'one-pedal-drive' was. That's not even unique to a Ford EV.
Yeah, when I went in, the sales guy knew absolutely nothing about the vehicle. I trained him as I was checking everything out.

Guess I should look at that card in the glovebox and memorize my door code.
And then take that card out of the glove box and store it in your safe at home. Otherwise, anyone who gets even temporary access to your vehicle could get it and make note. Think valet, car wash, lot guy at the dealer, passengers, kids, etc.

If you subscribe to YouTube TV you can get to it from the YouTube app in the truck and watch live TV or your recordings on the bigger screen.

...but then DO set Your own door code. The card has a hard-coded master code.

Auto high beams don't turn on until 33 MPH. Not a feature, but something that pissed me off until I figured it out.
Thank you for this. I was mad the other night they weren't coming on but I wasn't going over 30mph because of all the trees stacked up in my neighborhood.

These are the ones I've learned about through various threads here:
  • Holding the volume knob pressed in sets center display to calm mode (large screen).
  • Pressing the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons on the door keypad at the same time locks the truck.
  • Repeatedly tapping the Sketch tab in the top of the Sketch app will make it draw a rose.
  • In the Sketch app, in the options "+", there is a calculator and tick tack toe.
  • Antenna is slightly higher than your roof to give you a heads up if you're not gonna fit.
And I'll add from this thread the trick with opening the frunk with the door code and then tapping 7/8. That's awesome. I'm a sucker for Easter eggs like these.

As others said just add a personal code and don't keep the card in the glovebox.

I add the same personal code to all my cars and trucks. For years I've been using the first 5 numbers of my Social Security number so I don't forget what it is.

I also have a Console Vault and keep a spare FOB in a faraday bag locked in the console vault for emergencies.

My Apple watch fordpass app allows me to lock, unlock and start the AC.

Another one that’s a carry over from the ICE trucks - the strap tie downs on the tailgate have a bottle opener on the bottom side. Had to use it recently and it worked great.

You can change the door code. I love the keypad feature which I also use to lock the truck since it seems a bit easier than using the button on the door handle.

I will note that if you rent a Mach-E and automatically lock the car using the keypad because that is how you do it on your truck, and the keys happen to be inside the mach-E because they fell down under the seat and you assumed that your wife had them and she assumed that you had them, you are going to be spending some hours outside of a Tim Hortons waiting for Hertz to find the one person who has access to the truck’s paperwork to give you the key code. Hertz will also want to know the contract number which is conveniently printed on the paperwork - which is of course inside of the car.

So use caution if you get a rental.

If you have an XLT you will note that the top of the dash is much nicer than the Lariat or the Platinum because vehicles with the big screen just get a big slab of plastic up there instead of the nicely stitched and padded top.

This is my 5th Ford truck with the keypad. The first thing I do with a new truck is program the keypad to the 5 digit code of my first truck 20 years ago. That number I can remember. My wife's cell phone number? Not a clue.
