I feel like we're driving different vehicles. I never had a blinking red light I had to turn off with FORSCAN.

Lol yea on the lower right of the LCD cluster in between the PRND and Temp I had the traditional red figure in the seat belt icon. And although and no longer made a chime the little light was blinking. And it did not go away even after driving for 10 minutes.I feel like we're driving different vehicles. Maybe all the changes you made in Forscan caused this. Have you tried reverting all your changes to stock and then trying the owner's manual procedure?Lol yea on the lower right of the LCD cluster in between the PRND and Temp I had the traditional red figure in the seat belt icon. My cousin has a 24 XLT lighting, he has the red light as well.
I'm not sure what you mean by all the changes I did caused this? I have no issues anymore. I accomplished what I needed, the seat belt chime is gone, and the seat belt light is not longer on as well.Maybe all the changes you made in Forscan caused this. I have that but no longer use it. I use the OBD-EX Which I recommend.Decided to add Glare-Free to my Lightning. Updated FORscan to latest but when I went to connect using this it wouldn't connect. Tried several times, tried switching the switch, tried different USB ports on laptop, tried rebooting, etc. Then I connected the VCM2 I use for FDRS updates and it connected with no issues. Made all the changes and ran the headlight alignment service. Checked and the Glare-Free toggle was added to Sync. Not sure how to test if it's actually working.
Has anybody had issues with this no longer connecting after FORscan update?
Yes and yes it prompted me to set the switch. Thanks for your help. I'll just use my VCM2 from now on since it just works, I didn't have to set it up or flip any switches.I have that but no longer use it. I use the OBD-EX Which I recommend.
For the one you have, in Forscan you have to tell it you’re using a device with a manual switch and it will prompt you to flip it when needed. Did you set it up in Forscan? Is it prompting you to flip the switch?
I used that switched model on my 2010 F150 but it was a pain so I got the EX. Never tried the switch model on the Lightning. If you have a VCM2 then that’s the way to go.Yes and yes it prompted me to set the switch. Thanks for your help. A question for you. When you did the headlamp alignment and calibration, did you have to do anything with the steering wheel? Or was it just starting it and clicking ok once or twice? Thanks, I did as you suggested, but the thing that finally ended up working for me was to put in all the changes documented in the first post of this thread, and then I had to run a "Headlamp Alignment and Calibration" service procedure in Forscan.
Now my glare free lighting works!
Thanks for all the help.
Didn't do anything but park on a level surface and let it do it's thing.A question for you. When you did the headlamp alignment and calibration, did you have to do anything with the steering wheel? Or was it just starting it and clicking ok once or twice?
Hmm ok. I engaged the Glare Free and did a calibration even before testing if the glare free was working. And unfortunately now my dynamic swiveling isn't working. After verification that my codes were correct I have a feeling maybe it was the calibration, which was a 10sec process.Didn't do anything but park on a level surface and let it do it's thing.
Did you save the a/b data before you started making any changes?I tried to add the lightbar to the 23 Lightning Pro using forscan. I used the instructions in the popular thread. I am very new to forscan, but to my knowledge essentially what I have done is upload the Lightbar software from an XLT to the headlight so that it can pull the power from the headlight to the lightbar. The programming failed, and now I have no DTC function in my drivers side headlight. I can't reset it or anything. Does anyone know the issue here? Or have ANY advice. I have no headlight or blinker currently.......
I do notDid you save the a/b data before you started making any changes?
Edit: Oh wait....this requires actual programming.....it isn't just config. I assume you don't have FDRS?
You just have to try again. If you need help, @Jesse-Infotainment can remote in with teamviewer and help you out.I do not
