My last three chargers:

1. I disconnected it in the middle of a charge that had not reached its scheduled 80%. The fcsp went white for about a minute, then when blue after what was presumably a reset. Was it possibly unhappy i disconnected in the middle of an active charge?

2. Was charging with no scheduled % to achieve, but because of suspicions i used the app to stop the charging. When i disconnected from truck it stayed blue, no reset.

3. This morning, the truck had reached its desired % soc and was preconditioned. I did not use the app to stop charge because charge was already stopped. But I disconnected and it went white for a bit until blue again, presumably another reset.

Not sure why its doing this now, ive been charging for a few months and its never gone white. Only thing that's changed is that it is now at or below freezing temps and I park and charge outside. This morning the fcsp cable and plug were covered in a small layer of ice. But the charging went just fine, not sure why it feels the need to reset. Any ideas?

Mine goes white sometimes, too. I never really thought much about it.
Using the app vs pressing the latch to stop charging should be indiscernible to the EVSE. In both cases, the charger in the car simply stops charging.

Totally normal, on the rare occasions I leave the truck plugged in overnight, this will happen after unplugging, the actual charging had been completed hours before.

I think it is a delayed restart of the system or a communications session with Ford or Siemens services looking for updates or implementing updates if any were received.

Communications is part of it. I get some information off the Charge History screen in the FordPass app to enter into a charge data spreadsheet. The current charge session does not show up in the app until several minutes after I unplug the charge cord.

Definitely communications occur upon unplugging after a charging session.

Yet, when I charge in the afternoon or early evening, then unplug right after it's done, there is no white light cycling.

I've only seen the white signal in the morning when unplugging, so I think it's a suppressed restart which is not allowed to happen until the morning unplugging of the truck.

My FCSP goes white about 50% of the time. Stays white for a few minutes then goes solid blue. Been doing that since I had it installed last year.

I goes white when it phones the mothership after the first charge of the day. That's when it updates the charge history shown in Fordpass app (for the charger, not the vehicle)

So, I just completed a mid week charge to test my experience, it's consistent with what I normally experience, ie. now white signal that a restart/reboot of the FCSP has occurred.

It did transmit my charging session, but this and last few sessions have had corrupted data transmitted.

Today my Emporia tells me I consumed 16.3 kWh, generally the FCSP value is within 98 to 99% of that value, what I got today was 0.017 kWh.

Looks like yours started doing it about the same day as mine did so maybe there was an update that screwed things up?

FordPass shows the “correct kilowatts”, but the FCSPdoes not!
I happened to look at it this morning after unplugging and waiting for the white light to turn back to blue on the FCSP.

I think you're onto something, the last time FP was updated was on 10/9, the 10/13 charge session was ok, but all after that are bad data, either the FP app FCSP plug-in or cloud data is off by an order of magnitude.

Second test session, similar results, data display is off by an order of magnitude, 5% charge to 95%, Fordpass said 7.1 kWh, Emporia said 7.8 kWh, and FCSP as viewed through FP shows 0.008 kWh, yet historical data 10/13 and prior is OK.

Code issue in the cloud database is what I'm suspecting, it's receiving the data but storing in the incorrect format since Z date.
