I know this has been talked about a little. I have a 23 Lightning Lariat and had a bunch of modules I updated last evening. All took fine, except for two that took a long time and appeared to install but would never clear from the list. I did not check them to see if they were additional iterative updates, but it was kind of annoying as one of them was mentioned to help with PAAK. The two updates are listed below:

I included two pictures with the hover-over version. Does anyone know a good way to get these to install? The RFA one, in particular, took about 15 minutes to install, and I had no errors. However, it looks like it didn't take because it is still on the list.

The ACM is known to not come off the list, and I have see people here and the Mach E forum mention the RFA update can be tedious too. Vehicle history shows the RFA was successful. PTS shows the RFA is on the CR strategy, but not sure if that is the latest version. Check the files that FDRS downloaded to see if you can find this one:

NU5T-14G623-CR

If so, the update went through. Make sure you have hidden files showing and check here:

C:\Programdata\Ford Motor Company\FDRS\fdrs\data\vehicle_software

Thank you for your help. This makes sense. Today my PAAK has been flawless for the first time while owning this truck. So it seems the rumors that RFA fixes PAAK holds some validity.

Does it show that I have applied the ACM as well?

After work I will check those files.
Thanks again!

Yea, the ACM shows it installed. You can ignore that one.

Looks like I have the file: NU5T-14G623-CS instead of CR. This was down one more directory in STRATEGY.

Not sure which is newer....I would assume CS. @Mike G You fully updated your Lightning, no? What strat is your RFA on?

I have -CS.

But remember, this is the RFA (along with the ACM) that won't clear from FDRS when you try to update it. So I'm not entirely sure whether this update was successful or not.

His truck is on CR, but he found the CS file on his laptop, so the update didn't go through in his case.

I was finally able to get my BCM updated today and the RFA disappeared from FDRS? ACM did not. Does this sound right?
Hopefully, you or @rugedraw know?

Well, I don't know if it sounds right or not. I can tell you that another member here asked me to check his VIN yesterday afternoon because he just got his truck back after the dealer was going to do everything on his available list. And his VIN still shows the ACM and RFA as still available (no surprise to me).

If they got yours to go away, then great! Back when I owned a '21 Powerboost we all had a TRM (trailer) module that you could update over and over, and it wouldn't drop off the list...for something like 4-5 months that went on. And another time it was the ABS module. So this has happened several times before.

Your RFA is on the CS version which seems to be the latest. PTS shows your RFA synced itself with the mothership on 11/5. Vehicle history shows the network scan button was spammed yesterday, so I guess on one of these, it forced the data to sync and cleared the RFA off the list.

Hey guys, I'm looking at this power supply for doing FDRS updates. It looks like it comes with some cables to connect it up to the battery. Does anyone see any red flags or reasons why it won't work?

On paper, it should work, but this device is 10"x5" in size. That's tiny. I wouldn't trust it.

Seemed like it was too good to be true. Most of the reviews where using it for much lower power requirements. I wondered if I might cook it doing that big update. I'll likely go for the pyramid supply someone share earlier in the thread. What size cables do I need to look for to handle 50A?

I'm not sure what the proper gauge is, tbh, but for 50A, a 6AWG minimum is what a quick google search told me.
