"Based on a review of this data, CCRG was able to determine that certain vehicles built between November 6, 2023 and February 12, 2024, may have failed to achieve the required torque due to variation in the alignment or orientation between the DC nutrunner tool and the nut to secure the upper control arm to knuckle ball joint. CCRG was able to confirm that the suspect vehicle population, including the vehicle that experienced an accident, were built within this date range. "

Guess I should probably check mine since it was built in December 2023

So how can I tell when my vehicle was built? I'm searching vin's but it's not being helpful.
Tire sticker on the drivers door jamb.

My non-affected truck built June 2022, original scheduled blend day was June 9th 2022, but it was delayed several days

On September 12, 2024, Ford received a Global Common Quality Indicator System (GCQIS) incident report pertaining to a missing left front upper control arm ball joint nut on a 2024 model year F-150 BEV vehicle. The customer reported that at 639 miles they experienced intermittent vibration while driving at highway speed before the vehicle suddenly made an uncommanded left turn into a side rail. Upon inspection, the dealer technician discovered the upper control arm nut was missing and the joint had separated from the knuckle
The shudder I had in my truck was definitely due to poorly balanced tires, but some others on the forum have apparently had their tires' balance checked without fixing the shudder. They may want to look at the manufacture dates...

Strange this hasn't made it to OASIS yet as a broadcast message.

Man, poor Ford can’t get out of its own way when it comes to recall issues. 🙁

I balanced my tires twice, still didn’t fix the shudder. I even replaced them with new Michelins. But its still there and it’s erratic. This may be the cause! My truck was built in Feb ‘24.

My truck is not in the recall time frame and I do not have any problems.

For reference, I took a photo of each side of the truck and believe this is how they are suppose to look. Seems to have quite a bit of thread showing below the nut.

Photo taken from the front of the tire in case anyone wants to compare to their own truck.

Missing nut...good grief!

Door plug bolts missing on Boeing 737 MAX 9s, ocean-going ships like the Titanic missing rivets, Tennessee Ferris Wheel accident loose rivets, missing rivet head causing engine shut-down of a Cessna jet that crashed in 2008 at Farnborough, missing rivets on airbag covers in Honda Oddyssey models from 2019 to 2013, and on and on we go....

Details, details, details.

For the want of a shoe the horse was lost,
For the want of a horse the rider was lost,
For the want of a rider the battle was lost,
For the want of a battle the kingdom was lost,
And all for the want of a horseshoe-nail.”
