A2Z Adapter Recall: Typhoon v1 Exchange Program

Do they want us to destroy the old adapter before we get the replacement or wait until the replacement arrives? I am waiting for replacement adapters from both Ford and a2z. I'd like to have at least one working adapter available for use.

Either way. A2ZEV isn’t monitoring the status of recalled adapters too closely.

Just don’t be that guy and let the old one get back out into circulation

Yeah I had to be that guy and call someone out on Facebook whom was looking at making $80 on the recalled one.

Regardless of our personal beliefs on if the gen 1 ones are safe, please never pass that problem on to another. What if Tesla’s concern is correct and someone is left stranded or has a loss of property.

Definitely not worth the couple bucks.

I submitted my exchange on 18 December. Have only received the automated email. I'm assuming they've been taking vacation and etc. I will call in the first week of the new year if I haven't heard anything from them.

I submitted my exchange on 11/14 and received the exchange approved email on 12/23 with new exchange order number. I’m guessing should get the tracking number within a week or two. Just giving you an idea how long it’s taking.

Received my replacement adapter last Friday. I put the request in within days of the email about the recall. Took about 5 weeks from filing to receiving the replacement.

Took about a month - Nov 7th request for replacement submitted, Dec 8 received replacement.

Are you talking about Ford adapters? This is the A2Z thread. I would expect replacements would be shipped in the order the replacements were requested, nothing to do with the original order date/number.
