Replacement Tesla Adapter Shipped

I just got the email from Ford. Nothing showing on FedEx yet and the tracking link is not valid yet.

If it's like mine and others, the tracking link in the Ford email will never work. For mine, I was able to track on the Fedex site based on my account address. The Ford link still shows not available.

I just received the replacement and it's the Lectron Vortex version. Much more robust than the original and probably twice as heavy.

Does anyone know of a Case for this when storing it?

Just put mine in the box it came in with the cardboard inserts for now under the back storage.

Based on your post, I checked the link on my email from Ford. Same result. "Not yet available. Check back later." This, even though the package has already been delivered to me. Ford, you MUST improve your shipping. It's an embarrassment.

Well, well, I just tried the email link again and now it works. Didn't 15 minutes ago. Mine was out for delivery and supposed to be delivered by noon but the snow sent the FedEx truck back to the depot according to tracking.

They ship it FedEx Standard Overnight. If Label was created today t will probably go out tomorrow so you should expect it to arrive either Saturday or Monday. Sometimes Saturday deliveries are pushed to Monday.

It you have a FedEx account Logon, you should be able to see it as inbound with the Fedex Delivery Manager link tomorrow. I saw mine the day following the day is showed as shipped.

Yep I got the email and see the label created in FedEx just today. Yay! Too bad my road trip is this weekend. Original adapter worked fine for me last summer though.

Adaptor arrived. A few points:

1. Weight: It weighs the exact same amount as the old one.
2. Part Number: The part number for the BAD adapter is 1434343-00-D
3. Return Date: It says we need to return the old one by November 11th. Something tells me that they expected to ship this to me month's ago and the mean LAST November 11th.
4. Test: I'll test the new one before I ship back the old one.
5. Warning: The photo copied note in the box says, "Ford does not recommend using the adapters supplied in June 2024 with any vehicle from this time on. These adapters may result in reduced charging speeds over time, and in some cases, charge port damage."

Sounds like they are shipping out both the Lectron and Tesla models. Folks may want to indicate which one they got.

I got the Ford-branded one (the bottom one in your picture.) That's the one which weighs the same as the adapter from June.

Gotcha. Weighs the same despite being a completely different design is good to know. Folks were actually weighing the old and replacement adapters when they were both the original Tesla model. Trying to discern a difference since there was no visible difference. I thought that’s what you were going for.
