I got these 6" oem running boards from ebay. If you toss them in your cart and put them on your watch list in a day or 2 you will get a discount offer on them +- 40 bucks.

They did have a few handling marks and scratches, plenty good for me and also had the nuts and bolts to install them.

OK, things I've noticed in my second full day of owning the Pro:

The headlights follow the steering -- I can't believe this is a standard feature on the entry-level trim. You turn the wheel, the headlights move in that direction, too. It's amazing.

There's a little 3D graphic of the truck you can show right on the "gauge cluster" that tells you which tire has which amount of pressure.

There is emergency collision avoidance. I found this out by accelerating and changing lanes into one where I was quickly closing on the car ahead of me. A flashing orange-red box appeared in the middle of the gauge cluster to alert me to the feature being used, I assume to brake? I couldn't really feel it. Seems like if it has this feature, it should have the kind of cruise control where it keeps you a certain distance away from the car in front, but I'm not sure it does.

It hiccups on shifting. I was anticipating my turn to U-turn on a highway and found myself nosed out slightly into one of the two opposite lanes as the car in the far lane gradually slowed down and then turned, without signalling, leaving me nosed out into traffic without enough time to complete the U-turn before oncoming cars arrived. I tried to shift into reverse to nudge back a bit into the suicide lane, but accidentally shifted to park instead. When I quickly shifted back to reverse, or tried to, I found that I couldn't -- it wouldn't let me. Something was going on that locked me out of that shift point for about 15 seconds. Thankfully I was just a hair into the lane, or I might have been in real trouble.

You can say "Hey Ford" or something like that and the truck awaits your voice command. My oldest son figured that one out. Doesn't matter if music's playing, it can hear you anyway. He used it to "Navigate home."

I really need the running boards. It's a stretch even for me to get into the cab, not just my wife and kids. Having a step that's 5" or so lower will be a welcome help.

There are little American flags on the sides of the dashboard, visible in the side-view mirrors when you're outside the car. They're molded into the chromed plastic at the top-sides of the dash.

Everything's a bit trickier when you have to be in the truck and put your foot on the brake to get the "engine" to start so you can use other functions, like the climate control and the onboard power outlets. If there's a way to do this without having to hop in the driver's seat, I'd love to know it.

My key fob has a feature that my trim level doesn't: The motorized tailgate. I think I got fobs for a higher trim.

The zone lighting on my truck is a usable feature, though it only illuminates the headlights and the reverse lights. I wasn't expecting to have that feature at all, since I don't have the ground-effect lighting that does the sides.

The key to lock the center console is cleverly hidden inside the key fob. You press down on what I thought was an electronic button, but instead that button releases a catch that's holding the key in a cubby hole in the body of the fob. It's pretty neat.

I got a little card with the code number for the keypad on the driver's door that lets me keylessly unlock the door, except that there is no keypad. Not sure why I got this code number.

There's a surprising amount of dead space in the area between the frunk and the cab. If you pull the panel in the frunk that's hiding the strangely necessary 12-volt regular ol' car battery, you'll find there's at least a basketball's worth of space on either side of that battery, in basically a hidden compartment.

if you use the ford app to remote start the car when you get in all you have to do is press the start button no need to hit the brake peddle

Finally my truck has arrived to the dealer.
I went in today, sales manager was giving me a hard time honoring 5k price protection.
Going back on Monday to finalize the deal.
Let the fight begin..

Very thankful that the truck has arrived before the year end.
Let us know what happens. I should pop in the dealer at the same time.

It's a business and they have to buy low and sell high or they will not be able to pay all the people who work there plus taxes, utilities, and facilities upkeep. It adds up and people never think about it. How much did you get in trade? Don't worry, we have all been through it and there is no shame in convenience of a trade-in.

I got the following shipping information after reaching out to Ford CS via chat this morning. My truck updated to "Shipped" on Saturday evening:

"I show the status of your F-150 is In Transit, Shipped, Convoy - Convoy # 401749 (Ecarmover Inc ), Ramp 51, Flat Rock, MI. Your estimated time of arrival is Dec-22-2022 at this time."

Has anyone had any luck contacting Ecarmover Inc to track a vehicle? It looks like the path from Flat Rock to Wichita, KS is about 14hrs, I assume with stops along the route. If 12/22 holds true, that would be amazing.

Me I got what I felt was fair for it. After the first lowball offer I showed what carmax offered and carvana. They said well look at the tax savings if you trade with us I said I have the choice to give the dealership or uncle same the money I am giving it to uncle sam.

They matched the 41,000 and said they would up it 300 to cover my tax cost on the 5K rebate,. so a total of 41,300 I went in saying no less that 41 so I was happy

I bet the get 46K for it

I think you got a great deal. You could have sold it yourself, but the hassle of dealing with scammers, crooks, and lookie loos is not worth trying to squeeze every nickel. Posting anything on the internet lately? It's horrible. I was going to guess $40K and you did even better than that!

More importantly, the cross section in the venn diagram of people with $50K in cash and people who are in the market for a lightly used ICE F150 is pretty small.

OK, this really sucks and I'm not sure I can even comprehend how me purchasing a Lightning seems to get thwarted at every stage. Had to take a few days away from everything Ford and Lightning to get a handle on this...

Last week, I was informed that my truck had been damaged in transit to the dealership. :(

I was not even aware the truck had shipped. Now the info in my account for this truck is completely gone. It shows my reservation and when I go to the reservation, it just says "ordering with dealership" and to contact my dealership.

My dealer is trying to get more info and figure out what our next steps or options will be. If they have to order me a new truck and I get pushed out another month or three for production, I will probably throw in the towel. I originally ordered in June, got bumped to a '23 model year, chip hold for over a month, now this... They seem to think I'll just be able to order again with the next wave. They have also offered me the demo Lightning that is in their showroom. It's the config I want, the most popular config apparently -- Lariat ER with max tow and spray-in liner. And it's in my current third-favorite color, antimatter blue. They're seeing if Ford will let me have it now, otherwise it's not supposed to be sold until April.

What a cluster...

Well despite every notification to the contrary, my Lightning ER was delivered to my local dealer today 12/19/2023! Can't help with Shipped Date, since it is still blank for shipped, but it is here and I have a photo of it and just now I got the "Complete your purchase" email. Going to look it over in few minutes.
