I've tried this once or twice and decided I wanted to try it again. I charged to 100% last night and will see how far I can drive until I get near/under 20%. The weather is warm this week, low 80's for the high, low 50's for the lows. Wind is minimal and shouldn't play a big factor. Doesn't get much more ideal.

Here's my starting off stats, I'll try to capture each time I stop somewhere and screenshot the internal stats as often as I can. I've noticed the coolant temp sensor seems to track outside temp pretty well. I'll post the rest of today after I get kiddos to bed.

I see you are keeping your speed respectably slow…

Is that at 25 MPH? I never get better than 250 miles at 100%, are driving down Pikes Peak? Tires inflated to 80 PSI?, drafting a Semi? Do you use a Spinnaker Sail?

Some down hill, mostly its the warmer weather and city driving. Here's the morning commute:

What the point of this ? You went 50 ish miles and 13%. Great job 🤷🏻‍♂️
Agree. Miles per kWh x energy in battery is range. Nothing else needs to be done.

Day one: 61 miles 13% or 17 kWh, 3.59 MPK

I might be missing your ending SOC, is it less than 87%?
It showed 86%, I turned off the truck and for what ever reason decided to snap the trip data instead of turning it back on to capture that. I did snap the morning energy before I left for work which reflects that.

@jamelski @RickLightning
I'm not charging again until I get down to around 20%. Rick, you mentioned yourself that to truly see the capacity of a battery you'd need to go from 100% to very low %. Well, I'm doing just that and thought I would share the results for any who are interested.

You misunderstood me. If one is using CarScanner to look at the kWh available at 100%, you need to charge to 100%, then draw battery down, then charge to 100%, ... You will see the reading inch upwards as the cells recalibrate.

Dummy me .... staring me right in the data display.

I'm always interested in seeing more samples of data, one thought that came to mind, with day one, your values are at their best point of optimistic efficiency, remember that top charge on the pack, ie. the distance it takes to go from 100% to 99% is much longer distance wise.

Subsequent days the composite MPK and inferred maximum range will decline, no surprise to me, but it is interesting to see other tests with variations in driving behaviour.

I tried this myself last year in Florida and got roughly 350 miles to a charge, probably could have made it to 360+ but I needed it full to go camping with friends. Weather was nice, no wind, and my daily commute / driving is all mostly urban miles at 45mph or so.

The truck isn't magic, at highway speeds I only get 260 ish maybe a bit better off a charge but if you drive somewhere with normal temps, not a lot of wind, and don't get the speed too high you can stretch the batteries on the trucks a ton.

Gotcha. Weird flex but ok.

100-20 or 100-10. Would be a better thing to do. I thought this was a long drive thing look i got x miles at 100% 😂 but I see your like 99% of Americans and drive about 40 miles a day 🤙 this gonna have many posts 🤷🏻‍♂️

What scanner app are you using? Thanks

I average 16-18% / day so I should be able to get down to the teens by Friday. I'll top it back up and we can see what the difference is. Do you suspect it'll be higher?

Not intended to be a flex, just sharing data for those who care. Sorry, I suppose I could have been more descriptive in the title. I'll try to keep the spam to a minimum, hence end of day updates.

TorquePro, I do also have CarScanner which is able to find more data than I can find on Torque. I just like the display options better on Torque so I gravitate towards it. At some point I'll see if I can port the CarScanner pids (is that the right term?) over so I can see voltage variations and a few other things.

The more low to 100% charges, and the more readings at 77 degrees battery temp, the more accuracy.
