Ford F150 lightning Lariat ER
I have encountered an error with a 2023 F150 lightning ER. Currently has 20,000km on it.
1. Electric Powertrain fault
2. Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power.
The maximum power output has been limited to 20. The truck is not charging at all, tried the level 1, level 2 and the fast chargers. It displays an error right away when I pulg in. I believe this happened due to a software update that failed.
I tried restarting the truck a few times, full shut down and start. Disconnected the 12v battery and repluged to fully reboot, no luck.
Any insights?

That update failure is not likely anything to do with your problem!
how long did you disconnect the 12 V and did you check It’s state of charge?

The Bluetooth OBD dongles are very helpful to get a lot more details if you are so inclined. In addition to getting specific error codes, you can see if your battery might have a bad module like @GoodSam mentioned.

The battery array has gone bad. No way around it. Depending on where you are 5-7 weeks to get your truck running again. Request a loaner if one is available. Went through the same problem with 9380 miles.

An update for you all, it was the battery array module. It was at the dealership for over 45 days. I got it back, drove for 300 kms and another issue occurred.
Electrical Powertrain Fault - High Voltage Detected, got it towed into a dealership. They replaced the 12V battery, got it back from the dealership and the same error 'High Voltage Detected' showed up again within an hour from picking up the vehicle.
Got it towed and back at the dealership again.
Any suggestions or recommendations on how to deal with this?

This is awful. Have you called the BEV Ford number? I don't know where you live, but I suggest you open a file with Ford and begin the process for a lemon or buy back. Also, did the dealer provide a loaner car while the truck was in the shop for 45 days? The BEV folks should address that also.

The only thing I can suggest is to contact the BEV team… I don’t remember if you did that before as I have not read back through the posts!
