I don't really understand why this hasn't been bigger news. My 2023 lightning stopped talking to Fordpass almost a week ago.

First, I chatted with Fordpass, they said it is a known issue and are working at it.

Two days later, called Fordpass. They brought up my VIN and the rep said "Oh, we're supposed to tell you that this is a 2023 wide outage, and that a fix will be available in FEBRURARY. But, I can go into the dealer to see if they can reset my modem.

I did that - went to the dealer. Dealer said they tried yesterday to fix it with a different vehicle, but no luck. They talked to a Ford global technology specialist who said expect an update to be available at the end of February or perhaps early March.

How is it that Ford can sell a vehicle so heavily reliant on a (less than awesome) app, and then simply be okay with a 2 month outage for that. Infuriating.
Mine quit working last week also. Monday, I contacted support and tried 2 chat sessions which we tried several things including a communications reset. Both chat were dropped off both times after a while so I decided to call and talk to a live person who as extremely nice. We again tried several things yo to avail and she told me that there was a known glitch in the system which would be fixed by the end of February and it looked like a modem communication error. We finally gave up, but I decided to check the communications settings later in the day and it began working as it should. All I caan say is keep trying and be patient.

As of 21 hours ago, my truck lost connectivity to Ford Pass. I tried a few things to make it work, but nothing works so far.

EDIT: I will try the fuse and/or the battery terminal if nothing happens.

EDIT 2: I pulled the fuse and waited a few minutes and put it back in. I then started the truck and I immediately noticed the “tracking” icon on the screen, and also FordPass started working again.

So, I had to disconnect the LVB 3 times in the last 10 days to get the truck to connect! This is very annoying. There was never any communication from @Ford Motor Company about this other than this forum. I love the truck, but between this and the OTA voodoo (still at 4.1.1), I am disappointed with Ford on their software/firmware competency.

Does the battery pull make Blue Cruise work by chance? I'm having all the above issues AND no Blue Cruise
Not that i can confirm the issues are related but i lost fordpass connection and bluecruise around the same time. 12v reset fixed both, however now i have no fordpass connection again but BC is still working fine.

Try force stopping the app, then restart it.

If it is still not connecting to the truck, use a desktop or mobile web browser to confirm you're still able to log into your ford.com profile, if you can't then you have potentially been locked out, get your account unlocked.

If you are able to login to ford.com then might still be the issue with 2023 modem problems

Yea my issues are with the modem, the battery reset solves the app issues and bluecruise has been fine since its one hiccup. I forgot to mention when this all happened the first time it messed up my PAAK as well, truck still thought it was paired but it wouldnt connect, wouldnt even let me enter the backup passcode. Needless to say i have been carrying the key since, not really a huge deal but i do travel out of town (200 miles) for work and would hate to not have a key.

Anyone connected with their dealer recently to hear if indeed there is a fix yet or not? Or perhaps FordPass directly?
