Bob installed brushes in a brushless motor.BOBS on vacation.
You got that Wright. Since there is metal shavings in all of the coolers and fluid we would think they would replace them right, but they are not .so we will see how long the new lasts. And the rear motor since the same fluid cools both of them. This could become a lemon law case?Wow - dealer saw fluid and knew it was leaking as you drive off in a newly purchased truck and they don't ask you to come back in for a check and review and look? They just want you to keep an eye on it? You gotta just really wonder what world we are living in.
In the Marine Corps we were made to use the buffer with the No-buffer wax on the No-wax flooring.Bob installed brushes in a brushless motor.
Not a drain plug issue. Something inside the motor came apart and made a hole in the side cover. Can't wait to see the pictures. Is this a missing or cross-threaded drain plug issue? I think there was one poster here who had that on a rear motor.
It's one of those things. In the Marine Corps we were made to use the buffer with the No-buffer wax on the No-wax flooring.
That’s a disaster waiting to happen. Did they at least flush the system and replace the filters? You got that Wright. None of they above. That’s a disaster waiting to happen. Did they at least flush the system and replace the filters?
IIRC in the tear down there’s a couple of in line filters.
Keep your eye on the calendar.Since there is metal shavings in all of the coolers and fluid we would think they would replace them right, but they are not .so we will see how long the new lasts. And the rear motor since the same fluid cools both of them. This could become a lemon law case?
Hey there! Can you please send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are working with? I would like to see what I can do to assist with your Lightning's motor repairs. My truck has been at the dealer for 3 weeks to replace the front motor that has a hole in the side of it. Has anybody else had motor problems?
Why would the coolant be contaminated from an oil leak? Did the heat exchanger fail? You got that Wright. Since there is metal shavings in all of the coolers and fluid we would think they would replace them right, but they are not .so we will see how long the new lasts. And the rear motor since the same fluid cools both of them. This could become a lemon law case?
The oil that cools the motors runs thru a cooler, the motor failed. A piece of the motor drilled a hole in the side cover. Why would the coolant be contaminated from an oil leak? Did the heat exchanger fail?
The motors and everything else share a coolant system but the oil is contained to just the individual motor.
If your motor leaked the oil then it's only the motor that needs replacing.
It's insane on everyone's part for allowing a leaking new vehicle off the lot. Some of these stories are just baffling.
