Please send me your Vin and your dealer information. I'll look into it for you.

Has anyone actually had any luck with this canned response?

Rick
Actually yes, they connected me to the BEV team and that helped deal with an issue I had with a crappy dealer. And for me, the BEV team is very good at being proactive and following up.

Ford Motor Company deserves high praise for its forward-thinking decision to have an EV professional actively join and contribute to the F150 Lightning Forum. This move underscores Ford’s commitment to engaging directly with the loyal and enthusiastic community of Lightning owners, who represent a cornerstone of the vehicle's success. By fostering this connection, Ford demonstrates that it values customer feedback and recognizes the importance of being present where the most passionate advocates gather. This proactive step not only reinforces the company’s dedication to the F150 Lightning but also highlights its belief in the vehicle’s remarkable innovation and its potential to shape the future of EV pickup trucks.

The F150 Lightning has already carved out a special place in the hearts of its owners, many of whom view it as an irreplaceable part of their lives. Ford’s decision to involve an EV expert on the forum signifies an exciting opportunity to share insights, address concerns, and introduce new features that could further elevate the ownership experience. It’s clear that Ford remains committed to driving forward the evolution of this groundbreaking vehicle while staying attuned to the needs and aspirations of its devoted customer base. The potential for this collaboration promises a bright future for both the F150 Lightning and its community of dedicated owners.

A little concerned about the disclaimer:
If you are an owner and have an inquiry for Ford, including inquiries related to a quality or safety issue, please contact your local dealership or Ford directly.

Most issues on here are from owners and especially quality/safety related so likely will still get the "send me your VIN and dealer" response.

But maybe they can answer order and buying questions for prospective customers.
Thats exactly it. (We will not be answering any questions with this account.)

No one should get too excited over this.

Blink twice if Ford is holding you captive.😬

Not sure how sharp they really are going to be. A few weeks ago , I reached out to Ford and they tried to help. But the Bev CSRep spent Time walking me through setting up PAAK with me even though I told them I don't believe my 24 flash has that option. They even emailed me the procedure and a case #.

So do I have PAAK in my Flash?
Do I insist the dealer fix it since I have a case #.

What I did call them about with no success was if I buy a BC subscription, now that my 3 month trial is over, will they upgrade me to BC 1.4. And her answer was no.

So the 1 thing 1 thought was easy (BC1.4) was a no. And the 1 thing I knew was impossible (PAAK), they were giving me false information, or were they?

Yes, don't get too excited with high hopes. Unless they plan on hiring some of the forum members who know best.

It seems to me that posts here involving inquiries tend to be from those who already tried the local dealership route, some multiple times with frustration. Now they are hoping that posting might bring it to the attention of FoMoCo.

Sadly, it doesn't seem to help.

If the EV advisor is actually knowledgeable, it'll be a great resource. If it's just going to be some interns that are told to add fluff, that'll be extremely disappointing. I'm very interested to see what Ford dishes up.
Prepare yourself for disappointment. They announced someone will be available in "early January 2025." What is that? You don't need to announce you're joining a forum, you just join a forum.

I'll be the first person to admit I was wrong if @Ford Motor Company becomes a valuable member of this community but history suggests we will see marketing material and dealer referrals.

I focused more on the "quality or safety" part of the message. Depends on how broad the definition of quality is.

"I'm not getting OTA updates, can you help?" "Well that's an issue regarding the quality of your wifi signal, so you need to contact the dealer." - that would be my fear.

If the EV advisor is actually knowledgeable, it'll be a great resource. If it's just going to be some interns that are told to add fluff, that'll be extremely disappointing. I'm very interested to see what Ford dishes up.
^^This is exactly my thought.

I agree...it kind of does. :) I'm just trying to put a positive spin on and get everyone geared up about their major purchase they made and that maybe we may now all have a better chance of it to be continually improved and developed based on all owner/actual driver remarks and concerns...since many of us will have a tough time going back to ICE. :)

Yes, somewhat. They were a bit helpful during the frustrating experience and extended time to replace 2 main battery modules in my truck a while back. They communicated with the dealership and ensured a loaner would be provided. Ultimately, the primary issue was lack of EV Technician resources at the dealership. They also received and processed my request for a small compensation for extra expenses during the 7 week period my truck was at the dealership. I would try them again.

Yes this is what happened to me exactly. My front camera would not popup when close to objects, Dealer said I didn't have the option on my truck. I messaged @Ford Motor Company and was told to check with my dealer. Thanks to this forum and all the helpful people I was able to use Forscan to correct the front camera not popping up. This was a really big deal for me so thanks to @Livnitup for helping me get Forscan going and @FordTough98198 for linking me to this Tremor thread with the change.
