Anyone else notice the leather seats in Lariat trim wear poorly?

I had this issue at ~500miles. Dealer replaced it without much fuss and agreed it shouldn't look that bad.

New one already showing issues of the wrinkle too. At this point I guess I just live with it?

Because you have done this also in another thread, I would like to point out it is poor etiquette to "follow" a thread by responding "Following". Instead there is a "Watch" button you can click at the top of each page that does the same thing. Friendly PSA :).

Lot's of other cars have ventilated seats that don't look this way. My Mom has a Lexus with 8000 miles, ventilated leather seats, and they look brand new.
BMW 10 years 65k miles. No wrinkles from my big fat butt. Ventilated seats.

these ford seats are disappointing.

I guess I didn’t expect much from leather seats in a truck. It’s not a luxury car but, yeah, it would be nice if they didn’t start wrinkling immediately.

I hear you, but these things are $80K+ and these seats are worse than any leather seat I've seen in terms of wrinkling. And seats are arguably the thing you interact with the most and see every time you or a guest get in the truck. The Ford MBA cost cutters have their priorities wrong.

I have an appointment with another PA Ford dealer to see if they can resolve the issue. I also have an appointment with the dealer from whom I purchased the vehicle just in case the PA dealer can’t make any headway. I’ll post the results after the 15 Nov appointment.

So, the dealer’s service manager said that these seats are just this way. He doesn’t think it looks good, but he said if they replaced it, we would likely see the same thing in the new one. That checks out with some of the comments here and we also saw the same thing in their mannequin. I guess I’m going to embrace the saggy wrinkled “character” of my brand new seats. After all, this is what we all hope someone will do for us one day as our “seats” develop, uh- “character.”

Getting the same on mine at 3000 miles. I've had a 2008 F250 King Ranch, 2013 F250 Plat, 2017 F250 Plat, 2019 Raptor. All of them had cooling seats except the 2008 and none of them had this problem. The 2017 f250 had the massaging seat bottom like the lightning and didn't have any issues.

Yeah I don't understand why the Lightning specifically has such bad leather seats. Literally ever other trim has better seats.

Mine wrinkled up by the time I drove it home 200 miles from the dealership.

I ran it over to an upholstery guy who has done great work for me in the past and he told me take it in to Ford. Then he said make them replace it 29 times if it happens 29 more times.

This is one of the first things I noticed the second day of ownership. It doesn't' personally bother me to much because I love the truck, but the quality of workmanship on this, the limp center console that can't stay up/open, and the threads/padding/extra carpeting sticking out from feet area has me slightly wishing the Quality Control had caught these things in production and/or design.

Is it possible to have them swap for cloth seats? I have no prior experience with ford, but curious if this is a possibility before I purchase.

You can buy an XLT, but no way to not have leather with Lariat.

BTW the seats are comfortable and they look fine, but they will wrinkle right away. I'll take it up with Ford service and see what they say.

Aren't these seats fake leather like the mach e? I'm not knocking it I prefer the synthetic seats bc I heard they resist staining from jeans. I learned that when I was thinking about the white seats for my mach e. And these grey seats are resisting staining really well especially when they have the perforations for the ventilated seats. I think leather is more absorbent when it creases and cracks or has perforations making it exposed to dyes. And synthetic materials don't have a top coat just one material throughout
