Well, I found my missing battery percentage.

Charged to 85% last night. As soon as I unplugged, it dropped to 83%.

And, ironically, I had my best efficiency ever this morning on my commute.
I always charge to 80%. I’ve noticed lately that as soon as I back out of the driveway, it’s 79%. It didn’t used to do this. Sometimes I’d drive 3-5 miles before losing the first %. It’s almost like charging used to overshoot a bit, but now stops exactly at 80. I know that temperature changes can play a role here, too.

I didn't even move when it dropped. All I did was hit the start button.

I think Ford messed something up with the charging software in the latest updates. I swear, it's one step forward and two steps back with this company. Nothing can ever get fixed without screwing something else up.

I charge to 60 percent regularly. In the past I was taking advantage of free charging near work that has recently started charging for the electricity, so now I am changing daily at home. Sometimes the charge level drops to 59 within a block of home. Other times I drive for four or five miles before it drops to 59 percent. I expect that exterior/battery temp will make some difference to the state of charge (60 percent at 55 degrees, then drive when it is 80 degrees and the doc will be higher). Sometimes it seems like the truck will stop its charge as soon as it gets to the target charge level and other times it stops just before it gets beyond the target charge level.

DO you recall which of the various recent updates brought on this issue?
I'm about to get this, and curious if I'll see a change like you are exeperiencing.

I can't say exactly which one did it. I got them all back to back and didn't really notice which one set it off.

I have this same issue and I don’t have that priority update installed. I charge to 80%, sometimes 90, and when I unplug and start my truck I’m at 78-88/89% without moving.

2022 F150 Lightning (Lariat). 2009 Escape Hybrid.
The update happened to us while at a rest stop on road trip, and % and mileage tanked. It wasn't until my daughter was driving that I thought to reset the EV Range memory. That fixed it. Though still low mileage at 77 MPH with my GoFast Camper, only 1.7-1.8 mi/kWh

The above updated post flawlessly last night, this morning my SOC and projected range was not grossly affected.

SOC last night before update posted..........SOC this morning after 1.7 mile trip.

But like others have pointed out my SOC dropped from 80% to 79% in several hundred feet from the house. Got to destination still at 79%, then we returned home, SOC settled at 78% at the destination. Not using departure times, or remote start. It is a warm day, though the truck was in the garage overnight so she was not boiling hot, but sitting at the breakfast place ambient temp was already 85°

Both trip logs from the breakfast run:

SOC after getting home remaining range is within approximations of consumption, all things being equal.

I forgot to look when I parked but checked a little while ago and my typical morning commute seems to be off. I got the notification that I hit my 85% target this morning, shortly after the PAAK update was applied. FordPass still indicated 85% charge when I checked while getting ready for work. I did not look to see what the truck displayed after unplugging (Ford needs to get off their lazy butts and give us SoC on EVERY SCREEN).

Bottom line, my morning commute has always taken 7-8% charge. Today it seems to have taken 11%. The drive log says I used 9.2kWh which is right in line with my normal commute. I have no explanation for where the other 4% charge disappeared to.

Similar occurrences on my end. The charge is set on 60% and it charges to 60. I unplug and start the truck to head to work and before I've moved out of the garage it's down to 59%. Beyond that the kwh/mi has been normal and overall range is as expected. Don't recall seeing it prior to this update:

Was thinking it might be because my garage was warm overnight (80 degree range). Both times the percentage drop happened the fan seemed to come on full speed as soon as the truck started up.

Good morning- I can look into this for you. Feel free to send over a private message with your VIN and dealership information at your earliest convenience.

Started my charging early yesterday so I could unplug before heading to bed. No drop when i unplugged and the FCSP indicated around 30kWh delivered which seems about right for 21%. My daily commute had been very consistent around 17-18%. Maybe the update drained the battery and then it just didn't charge it again since it reached target already?

I used the calm screen today and the truck must have know I was watching as it behaved normally. In fact I had a best commute at 6% used. Very odd as weather and driving conditions were virtually identical yet I used almost half the energy?
