Charge Station Pro Problems

Today my electrician completed the install of the Pro 80 amp charger while I was at work. When I came home, I attempted to "pair" to the unit unsuccessfully for about an hour. I stopped using the Ford Connected Charge Station app (as suggested with the inbox directions) and attempted to connect though the Ford Pass app - that process worked (unit went into pairing mode as evidenced by flashing "white" bar on front of unit and connected to wifi). Although the box is connected to wifi I have not successfully linked the unit to the the ford pass app yet (to many attempts - retry in 15 Minutes). Also, it is 103 degrees in in my town today, my garage is in the upper 90's. The unit has been charging for while with no overheat issues yet - fingers crossed!

You may be waiting a few days to connect it to FordPass. I had to do a complete factory reset because it still showed "ChargePoint not found!" in the app even after a day.

Someone else said it took a few days but then it worked.

I have found that with 80 degree ambient temp, the FCSP in my garage will work for 20-30 minutes before it starts cycling.

The access code is also your password. You might want to delete that image, as someone can register your unit.

FYi, The Access code is likley capitol i's not 1's.

Highly recommend you delete that image when you get a second. Other folks could bind their ford pass to your unit like that (or god knows what else).

Ah yes, after an hour it started to overheat. I have reduced changing max to 64 amps until the issue is resolved.

Hi, you may have tried this, but sometimes fonts can be misleading. Won't be the first time this has happened! I'd try the following -

1) see DM
2) see DM
3) see DM
4) see DM
note: lower case L and upper case EYE look the same in many fonts so if they appear twice try all four combinations. Likewise for O and 0 which is less frequent but can happen.

I bet you (two Platinum active multi-contour seat w/max recline)one of these works!

I assume one can immediately change the password once they get in which is always a good idea. Just include upper, lower, number, and a symbol, and don't lose it . I'd be happy to assist anyone if question can't be posted if you DM. One of my many former hats was a network engineer, now I'd rather be sailing, or farkeling my 1300cc motorcycle or driving a full EV (someday?) when sailing weather is not good.

I have not seen a way to change the station password, but I didn't dig too far.

I think you are right. I just found the difference between the upper case i, and 1….thanks! Will try next time I get a chance.

Please give your best guess what letter this is? It is part of my access code and it’s not a number 1.
