Crazy and interesting. Ford acknowledges they have a bad part, supplies new part and installs, however, only for a limited time. Otherwise we are sorry that we put a bad part in your truck and we aren't going to replace it.

And people want to know what there is displeasure with the legacy manufactures.

Not only that, they didnt even have the part available to everyone when the CSP was sent out, so the time to have it done restricts even more.

Not only that, they didnt even have the part available to everyone when the CSP was sent out, so the time to have it done restricts even more.
Even worse, the parts departments were putting a restriction on retail sales of the part, I was lucky to get mine right off the bat, but a couple weeks later shade tree mechanics were complaining they couldn't get them.

Then FoMoCo made the SM's confirm the need and special order the part(s) as they would a HVB module, throwing more bureaucracy on the rails of progress.

Never mind the general backlog of service dept's even getting to a truck to do the confirmation and swap.

@Ford Motor Company fails to take into account that our Lightning EV's can sit untouched in the dealership parking lot for a month waiting for an available technician. I am sure many other owners are like me, and are very reluctant to take our trucks to the dealership for anything other than critical safety issues or part failures.

Exactly, huge reason I did not want to take my truck in.

"FUNNY STORY" about this subject CSP.
I attempted in November to get the part (the BSM) chip ordered though my local dealer. For whatever reason after 3 attempts (photo's etc..) they had no luck getting the chip. The Ford Social Media Team who monitor these forums PM'ed me for more info and within a week I had a real live Ford support guy call me. We connected and I explained. They generated a case number, contacted my dealer and on 01/02/25 they had Part in hand. They wanted to get me in on Friday (01/03/25) but could not make that work. So I had them schedule me for 01/07/25 (drop off 01/06/25 at night).
At approx 0900 the dealer calls me and wants to see if I have a case number because for EXPIRED the CSP for the BSM on 01/05/25 (SUNDAY). The back and forth between FORD and The DEALER resulted in NO CHIP FOR ME..after a few months of playing around and not having my Truck for the day. I did get updates done. I wouldn't be so upset if Ford would state that they were wrong about the Chip and it was something else that may cause problems. But all I get is an arbitrary "Expired CSP " 3 days after I made my Appointment.
Ford Social Media Support was awesome as well as their live support. Not sure why this was so complicated in the end.

Based on the sample notice posted here they gave us a full year to get this done. I don’t see where anyone has a lot to legitimately complain about.

Based on the sample notice posted here they gave us a full two years to get this done. I don’t see where anyone has a lot to legitimately complain about.
One year, the template letter had a year prior date, but this program came out January 2024

I stand corrected, but stand by my comment. A year is plenty of time unless you recently bought an affected vehicle that wasn’t updated. I doubt that is the case with most complainers.

I posted all the letters I received here. Action time is 11-12 months for the CSP's I got.
