There are many more dealers not taking advantage of customers as demonstrated by the deliveries taken place on this Forum thankfully.

Dealers that don't have a customer relationship business model won't be around long.

Our Bronco, MachE's (2) and Lightning are all no surprises transactions.

I think it's great that the members on this forum are taking the time to review dealers like this and share our good friends experience with poor dealers via numerous web pages to warn others to stay away.

If the Ford and EV specific news/opinion sites like Ford Authority or Inside EVs picks this up so that it gets in front of a lot of eyes, I bet Ford will take action to make things right.

When I picked mine up Saturday the F&I manager commented how lucky I was to get my truck at MSRP. I don't think he meant in a bad way as he seemed like a nice guy. He was either commenting on other dealers that were marking up or that he was hoping I would show up and buy it. I let him know that it was right for them to honor the deal we made and left it at that.

Reservationists listing this dealer as their order point, might want to proactively switch to another dealer in the region now while Ford is juggle the numbers for 2023.

Exact same thing happened to me, paid for almost 2K in garbage and was not allowed to bring my own financing (I’m refinancing it out).

The GM wanted me to walk so he could sell the truck over sticker. This is their loop hole.

That said, I will never buy a new ford again.

That could happen, seen it hundreds of times when I was working on over due tax cases, find a new straw officer and set up new shop on same site. But IMHO, the franchising team of lawyers should scrutinize the next business proposal before letting out a new agreement, JMHO.

I don't think Ford can legally do that. Ford sells to the dealer and then the dealer sells to you. Ford has limited control over what the dealer can do once they own it. Most they can do is impact future allocations and the use of the Ford name/branding.
