Seems odd that Ford would only offer the heat pump on this single trim. Maybe it's a supply chain issue? or a UAW issue? or another "quality control" issue? 2025 might be the magic year with heat pump and NACS connector.
Hopefully all trims will get it. just not enough splash to announce it, like for the Lariat.

Interesting. I guess the Flash is what I would have wanted when I originally ordered my Lariat.

I did want the ER battery, and the tech and tow, but definitely didn't want the moonroof that I'm stuck with. Yeah that would have been perfect a year ago.
Same. I wanted XLT ER but was not available at the time of order. And Lariat was not much more money. $69,995 I would buy the Flash

It would be unusual for them to remove heated seats because it would have a negative effect on the EPA range calculation.
Heated seats are standard on the XLT and the heated wheel is optional. Expect the same for the Flash. Or maybe the heated wheel will be standard at the 70k price. It also show max tow and scales as available options. I'm guessing a fully optioned Flash will be just 2 -3k less than a Lariat.

Given the price of our trucks the heat pump should have been part of the original design. This will drive used prices even lower.

Looks like a striped down Platinum, only now you get to pay for Bluecruise. IMO Ford is going in the wrong direction. The competitors are putting some good ideas out there for their new EV's. Ford is not giving us anything different.

The only thing I'd really miss from my Lariat is the heated/ventilated seats.

So from a money perspective I could order a '24 Flash for $69k - $7500 tax credit= ~$62k

A MY24 truck is a pretty good deal, esp if you could get $55-60k for trade in value..'22 Lariat

The value equation is there. Neither Chevy or Ram is going to have anything compelling under $85k. (Chevy is already pricing their fleet trucks in the mid-upper 70s)

PS-- add in the fact you'd get the tax credit on a "flash" truck and no tax credit on the competitor over $80k the price difference is huge...

Very disappointing release. I was hoping for a the lowered faster model with carbon interior trim. Maybe some better color selections. Loose the fake wood and ugly copper trim and stitching. Also get rid of the shifter and make it be a knob like it always should have been.

Intern: Lets give the buyer wireless charging for their cell phones. We can markup the msrp price $9k. Hit the $69k price point (giggles). And save the world from buying more usb cables.

Manager: Do it! You're hired

I spent 10 minutes reading everything twice to see if Ford made the 350 mile range claim on current vehicles or The Verge just wrote an incorrect article.

Looks like it's just TheVerge being wrong this time unless we are getting some sort of software unlock in the future. Off Topic, but my truck with 40,000 miles is showing 99% battery health.

Smart move by Ford to offer this greatest hits model as it will become the new sweet spot for sales. Other Notes and Changes
Only a BlueCruise Trial of 90 days on Flash

Differences between 511a Lariat and Flash (all speculation)
No Moonroof (none in image)
No Second Row heated seats
No heated steering wheel
No phone as a key
No heated or cooled front seats
No mention of onboard scales
No Ford Charge Station Pro included

- Personally, other than the moonroof and the fact that I would have to buy a charge station pro separately, these aren't deal breakers for me.
It also appears like the rear light bar is gone and the side mirrors are black plastic vs body colored.

On the interior photo I'm also not seeing the keypad for the memory drivers seat.

I got the (commercial) tax credit on my Platinum. Mine is a bit of a toy because I have other trucks. I am looking for a fun driving experience. I want more power, tech, range and style. I am not going to split hairs over price at this (platinum) level. At first glance the RAM beats the pants off the "new" Lightning in any trim level. That is a shame, because I love my Lightning. I wish ford would put the the same performance effort into the lightning as they do in the Raptor. Hell, I wish they would do a "Raptor EV".

That will happen with the t3. I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking the RAM is going to be really expensive with the huge battery they are promoting.

I don't even think GM is in the ballgame, given the outrageous prices on the silverado EV so far(Fleet trucks msrp $70k+) and the Blazer EV pricing.

I will agree that RAM and even Silverado are nicer with better range and features..but will be out of reach for a lot of truck consumers.

This was smart move by Ford to get more people in EVs, serving a price point that was empty before.

The XLT never had a light bar, painted mirrors or memory seats. The Flash is based on the XLT, not Lariat.

Correct...I was comparing this to the Lariat per quoted post.

My hunch is many people will be looking at this comparing it to a Lariat-- the larger SYNC screen, Blue cruise, etc.
