As the title says, the heated steering wheel barely feels warm to touch, as in I can barely tell it's on in some spots, completely cold in others. Has anyone else experienced this?

From 10 o’clock to two o’clock are the warmest, but the wheel is so big that most people, including me hold it at 9 and 3. There is a way to change the target temp with FORScan. There is a recent discussion on this.

Thanks for this, yes it seems 10 to 2 is the warmest. Best temp I got around there was 89F after about 3 minutes, then it tapered off to 85-87.

First vehicle I’ve owned that has heated steering wheel and I am kind of liking it. I am not in the tundra, so maybe my expectations are low.

Has your truck received a recent update that might have caused this issue?

Tough to say, I haven't really tried the heated steering wheel function it before the extra cold weather in the north east last week. You can tell it's working, but unlike our other car not enough to appreciably warm the hands on a cold day. Maybe FORScan is the answer, too bad you can no longer buy a license.

I love a heated steering wheel even during summer. Both my lightning and f350 (both 23’s) are the same low heat . Fords used to have great heated steering wheels about 3 years ago

my wife’s Range Rover will melt your hands off. It’s amazing

For me it always starts off pretty toasty then backs off after 10 or 15 minutes. It would be nice if it didn't back off as much as it does. As you say, it's barely detectable after a while.

I agree that it is not hot enough.

Now this would be a great OTA to add a setting to everyone's infotainment system... You can adjust on screen when you tap the HVAC shortcut for driver only heat/on/off

Low, medium and high would suffice, where low is the current level and high is at the top and of course medium is between the two.
