Interesting as there is no fix and we are being told don't charge past 80%

Campaign/NHTSA#
25S18/25V131
Issue Date
2025-02-28
Description
On your vehicle, it may be possible for an internal short circuit in the high voltage battery to occur after repeated charge and discharge cycles.
Safety Risk
If a short circuit occurs after repeated charge and discharge cycles, there is an increased risk of a vehicle fire. Owners can reduce this risk by limiting charging of the high voltage battery to 80 percent state of charge before new battery arrays are installed in your vehicle.
Remedy
Parts are not available. Ford Motor Company is working to provide parts for this repair. When the remedy becomes available, Ford Motor Company will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your dealer for repairs to be completed free of charge. The remedy is anticipated to be available in the second quarter of 2025.

There was a period awhile back that certain modules were in short supply. It is good they are allowing you to use the truck, many folks over the last couple of years have reported their truck sat at the dealer for weeks waiting for a module. I am confused, however, with this statement and your title of Electrode Misalignment.

On your vehicle, it may be possible for an internal short circuit in the high voltage battery to occur after repeated charge and discharge cycles.
Is this the language on the work order?

Where did you get this from? Not seeing it on the NHTSA site.

This came from Ford Site and as to what it means ???

The header is directly from the notice on the Ford site

I copied it verbatim so the intent/interpretation is not something I can address.

But it does say there in "no" fix available for a month or more at a minimum. And it does have an NTSHA number so no clue why it is not on their website.

So, looks like you need to enter your vin for specific recalls. None are showing for my 2023 ER.

Both usa and Canada sites show none for me.
If you select just year and model, none come up.

Number before the slash is Ford's, after it is NHTSA, and nothing on the NHTSA as was said.

The person who maintains the NHTSA site probably got fired.

It was a subject on Long McAurthor Ford’s YouTube broadcast yesterday evening.

According to Tim Bartz there are only 900 trucks involved.

Here is the video at the time he starts talking about it (1:09:20). It is an Advanced Notice Recall so I guess that's why it's not on the gov. site yet. Affects 940 vehicles from 2022-2024. Letters will be mailed to owners after parts ordering instructions and repair instructions have been provided to dealers.

And I'm a winner!!!!!!
So when you say you saw it on a Ford Site, do you see it on your Ford Account when you look up recalls for your specific VIN?
