I agree with you that the rate of improvement of EV infrastructure is likely to go down, maybe to near zero, for a while. I bought a Lightning not long ago because I thought that what has happened would probably happen, and I wanted to get such a vehicle while I could.I hope I'm wrong and you're right, but I have no confidence that things will get better now.
Resale value? Forget it (insert cliché about cold dead hands). A recession is likely in the near future for reasons not to be discussed here (politics are involved), and low fuel and maintenance costs will be helpful in surviving comfortably. There are enough chargers in our area to get around (living in our state has some advantages to go along with the taxes!) and most of us primarily charge at home anyway. Admittedly, things will get worse for us if Elon decides to cut off our Supercharger access, but many of us got by without that for years (3 years in my case, including 1000+ mile road trips powered mostly by EA ).
I have many regrets, but having bought a Lightning is not one of them. I hope and expect that you'll continue to love your truck too.
