All things being equal, CCS and NACS should take roughly the same amount of time. Charging site coverage along their route is comparable and they’ll be able to charge at similar speeds.Joking aside - this shouldn’t even be close. NACS should win by multiple hours.
yea doing a road trip thru the middle of the country would be a different story where DCFC is much more sparse. Tesla would have a much bigger advantage in that regard. All things being equal, CCS and NACS should take roughly the same amount of time. The difference is going to be if any EA sites are down or not running at full speed. Taking a quick look in PlugShare along I-95, it seems that everything is operating smoothly CCS wise. I suspect that any drama in these videos is largely going to be manufactured.
Just get through SC..everytime I drive that. Just need to make it through SC.NACS vs CCS1 on interstate routes ? BFD. Tell me about the non-interstate 95 route from southern Florida to Pittsburgh.
I’m with you there. I have a trip from Oregon to Texas planned for this fall. I had a route previously planned in ABRP…changed the filters to include NACS 250W+ and re-ran the route….all but two of the charge stops changed to Tesla SuperCharger locations…now I just need to cross check them all in my Tesla app to verify……yea doing a road trip thru the middle of the country would be a different story where DCFC is much more sparse. Game changer. I didn't realize they released an update to single out NACS. Thank you.I’m with you there. I have a trip from Oregon to Texas planned for this fall. ABRP will include all Tesla Superchargers, even those one that is not currently opened to NACS, or v2I had to do some playing around and add NACS as an allowable adapter in Settings…it wasn’t intuitive. I created a separate “Tesla” profile for my truck, as my adapter isn’t forecast to ship until July, so I’ll use my original profile until it arrives….![]()

Yep, that is why I’m cross checking in my Tesla app to verify…hopefully, only a short term necessity…ABRP will include all Tesla Superchargers, even those one that is not currently opened to NACS, or v2
