What makes you think that the adapter that Rivian is selling is made in the US?
They are actually made in China for Tesla by (withheld) and then sold to Rivian.
The only adapter I know of in the US is the SuperTap from TeslaTap.

The a2z adapter is a Canadian company but still produced in china. Not sure of any adapters actually produced in North America.

The only adapter I know of in the US is the SuperTap from TeslaTap.

The original TeslaTap destination charger is USA, but SuperTap is not: From www.teslatapinc.com

"TeslaTap is known for being manufactured in the USA with the highest quality NACS to J-1772 adapters made.
Our customers requested the same quality for the SuperTap but at a lower price. To meet these requests we have decided to have most of the assembly of the SuperTap completed overseas."

It still sounds like one of the best-made adapters to me. Like Apple, they like to remind you that it is designed here, but made elsewhere.

The Tesla NACS adapter is made in the US at the Buffalo Gigafactory.

That is the Lectron adapter, which is the same as the Ford version. Tesla makes one as well.
