I have the Lectron one, but at a recent stop I found that some of the newer fast Tesla chargers (250 KW) have built-in adapters. It's not obvious - you have to push the connector up into the charger to release it.
Thank you. Guess I'll just have to wait but will check out Tesla chargers that will adapt

Do You mean the Tesla Magic Dock superchargers? They are clearly marked and location-filterable on the Tesla supercharging app. They will also charge any CCS-1 equipped electric vehicle.

Is it though? Everything I’ve seen leads me to believe that it’s a rebranded Lectron adapter. Always happy to admit when I’m wrong, but what’s different between the two?
The Ford Fast Charging Adapter was co-developed by Ford and Lectron and it's improved vs. the Lectron Vortex design. It also includes an additional safety interlock vs the Vortex.

I am part of the "Free" adapter crowd, in fact real new to EV with my 2923 Lightening. I have been in a waiting list since August, 2024 and it looks like at least 4-5 more months before I receive my adapter. Ford says it might void my warranty if I buy something else. It's really caused me not to be able to use my truck as lack of non Tesla charging stations. Is there an approved adapter that I can order?
Thanks
Rockwell
Adapter orders are shipping very quickly now. It won't be long now.

Yeah the V4 stations now have the “magic dock” but as far as I know, there are only a handful of V4 stations in service around the country at the moment.

I ran into one in Elmira Ny and in wasn’t’t well marked, I couldn’t get the adapter out and just used my A2Z adapter, I pushed up but it still didn’t come out, what was I doing wrong?

How advanced are the 2923 model year trucks? Lots of improvements I imagine :)

Sorry, I could not resist. And I am a little jealous. I mean I thought I was an early adopter but I guess not :)
What I want to know is ... does the 2923 finally have BlueCruise 1.4?

Ford is full of shit. Your warranty is fine. I also got my 23 in August. I bought the A2Z adapter and have already driven across the country using mostly Tesla SC and about to do another cross country trip. Get one and enjoy. Eventually we will get our Ford ones and then at least we will have an extra one.

Agreed. Ford doesn’t have an adapter to sell me, so I’m using the A2Z for home charging and supercharging. The adapters have no electronics in them to narc me out, so I’m not worried about it.

Thanks. Where did you purchase the A2Z?

Yes. THey are named differently on the Tesla app. "Supercharger Open To Others - Adapter included for other EV's"
