Just received this update today. This came about 10 days after 4.2.1.1. My 2nd update received since picking up truck in July.
Same here, except I got my truck October 30th. Things are looking up for late 23MYs.

Never knew I had an issue with the modem though? Does anyone know what the symptoms were

I also just received 4.2.1.2, truck purchased late November,4.2.1.1 received a little more than a week ago.

Joined the 4.2.1.2 party today a week after 4.1.1.2. 8/4 build date.

My theory is that they need to get us all current in order to give us the all the update to enable super charger access at the same time. The BMS CSB was necessary so we could all get those updates. This is Ford delivering on their promise... at least I hope.

8/4/23 build week; 10/20/23 purchase. Got the 4.2.1.2 update last night but... the update prevented my scheduled overnight charging session.

I have my auto update time set to 0100 7 days a week

have my charging set to occur 0100 - 0600 to reduce the amount of energy needed to warm the battery and cabin for my 0550 departure schedule.

70 mile 1 way commute with questionable charging at destination reason to preheat for battery charge conservation SR battery. takes between 35% and 40% of SOC for the trip each way with departure preheating. I'll stop the preheating once PA weather aligns with Phil's prediction of early spring ;-)

I am thinking i need to shift the auto update time to not overlap charging time.

Thoughts? and sorry if this has already been discussed here.

It would interesting to see a comparison of energy used between what you’re doing vs plugging in to charge when you get home and let your departure time do its thing in the morning.

Set it to kick off the update (where drive inhibit is needed) just after you arrive at work.

My last update was PU0306-BCF-DET, which was done on 7/15/2023.
That's 216 days since my last update. (7 months)

add me to the list of just got this... received 4.2.1.1 on 2/8 and 4.2.1.2 on 2/15.

The only pattern I've noticed is they update after I just took the car for a drive and parked and went in somewhere.. it does not seem to be happening during the 1AM auto update time I have set.

TaxmanHog, thanks for the idea but with my realism/pessimism I'd rather have a software update glitch strand the truck at home where I have other transportation options. I'll set it up for the early evening when i get home, see how that goes.

Maquis, here are images of the power transfer through my Emporia (throttled to 35 amp). one has the charging session separated from the departure heating by a day the other has the departure heating on the tail end of the charging session. Same battery SOC at charging session start @ 0100. Combined was 29.7902 kWh separate was 35.5971 kWh. Not scientific but temperatures were similar the three mornings.
