There is the possibility that it's a HS-CANBUS or MS-CANBUS issue, these various devices communicate with various controllers, and that can get messed up cause spurious issues, that don't seem to be logically connected, but they are through the network(s)

New it was just a matter of time, got the message today. Powertrain malfunction/power reduced..damn it!!!

Power avail. stayed at 100%, and error cleared after sitting for 10 mins off. On restart all was back to normal:unsure:[

Power avail. stayed at 100%, and error cleared after sitting for 10 mins off. On restart all was back to normal:unsure:[
Same here. Mine was bk to normal after a few hours of recharging. Tried to drop off at local Ford dealer but would have had to leave there for 2-4 weeks (without loaner or rental). This is my primary vehicle so taking a chance and still driving it. It's been a month and haven't seen error again. 🤔 as well

Update: So my truck was at the dealer for just over three weeks, I got it back a few weeks ago. Truck seems as it was before the battery module replacement. My service writer said they only have 1 EV technician and that three weeks was good turn around compared to other dealers. From the looks of it, he was right.

Conspiracy theory :) :
Ford is downloading these error codes because it is now a more convenient time to get these trucks back to make the known repair. They knew they had an issue with these March-April trucks way back when they halted production. The decision was made to release the trucks, knowing they'd need to get them all back but it would be better to let the heat settle from the stop production, get more parts available and get more technicians trained. All the trucks are now systematically popping up with the HV battery warnings. They were operating perfectly and have all different mileage. Now being shutdown in small groups to be brought back to the dealers...🤔

OMG, I have a deposit on a Lightning and now I'm a bit worried.

I really, really, really don't want to start a Rivian conversation, but I thinking....what is the more reliable truck???

I think you will find the vast majority of owners have not had issues, it is rare. That said, a R1T and the Lightning are considerably different. I would definitely consider your individual use case over reliability fears. Do you want a full size or mid size, sportier or lower cost, so on.

Got my truck back today.
Steering wheel upgrade part was backordered. Grrrr!!!!

MachE Performance was fun while I had it.

I might charge to 100% tonight. I usually do 85% normally.

We'll see.

I am happy I got my truck back.

Felt big at first against the MachE-P but 5 minutes of smooth silence and ahhhh..

I wish it had Mach E Peformance Magnawhatever dampers though!
The front shocks SUCK on the Lightning!

Maybe they will build a 1200hp/tq lowered Lightning SportTruck!...

Soon...

Can anyone answer if replacing the air dam actuators will fix this error. My dealership says it will send ordered new actuators. I'm worried if they fix something they doesn't need fixing it they'll break something else

I imagine they have easier options to achieve the same thing with much less strife. 😀

Just sent my truck in for the powertrain failure / high voltage battery warning. I was hoping it was a fluke (like the 50% power thing), but restarting and charging didn't do anything. Stuck at 25% power and charging errors out after 10 minutes. Diagnosing tomorrow, hopefully.

Been looking into lemon law - I read that they need to transfer the financing over, is that true? That should keep us from getting nailed on interest rate increases.

Usually it's one or two modules within the battery pack.
