I went out to do this update with FDRS this morning and while the truck was warming up (recharging the 12V battery) the notification popped up on the screen that I was going to be updated tomorrow at the usual time (0900). I hit the details button and told it to update now.

And after having a 72hr subscription to PTS that expired last night I can tell you that during that entire period I had zero pending OTAs for my truck (or car) according to the OTA Dashboard in PTS.

But magically it appeared this morning.

Does this one also turn the Propulsion sound back on after the update? That is my favorite...Seems to reset at random for me and always after an update. Seriously, why do I need fake engine noise?

I had 22-PU0722-DC-CHG3 last night and awoke to no radio changes! Can’t remember ever getting this new update though

But it turned on brake coach. !! LOL

Assuming you have automatic updates turned on and selected a prefered install time, it will happen when Ford sends it to your truck. How long has your truck been owned?

I'd anticipate at least a few updates, does your battery SOC gauge show a numeric value next to the arched bar graph?

I had the update waiting when I got in the truck today. Once I got back home, I told it to install and as usual, it failed twice. Then I made about a 10 mile drive this evening to dinner, told it to install again and it did. So it took 3 times (likely a battery charge cycle) and then installed.

I have no idea if it wiped out my presets, because I haven't looked at them in many months. Streaming is about all I do these days.

Still waiting on the SOC indicator update. I know there’s been at least 3 updates since I have contacted Ford and the dealer everybody saying nothings pending. I have to think at this point there’s got to be a reason why my trucks Vin is not being selected for updates.

Same here. My last OTA was July 10, PU0306-BCF-DET. As of last week, Ford’s OTA Dashboard showed no OTAs pending and none unsuccessful. FDRS does show a number of modules with updates not yet applied. I have no idea why my VIN hasn’t been tagged for the OTAs. Definitely harder to be patient when Ford doesn’t explain the logic and timing of any OTA roll out.

Count me in as well. Havent had an update since June 23rd PU306-BCF-DET. That charge status update was the first one I actually cared about and it’s been crickets. My truck did go in for a module replacement about month ago so I assumed that had something to do with it but still nothing. 12v battery voltage looks good. IDK.

Yes same here that was my last update as well. I was getting them consistently until that update. Agree 100% if we just knew why some people consistently get them and others don’t maybe it wouldn’t be as frustrating. Doesn’t make any sense that some people are 3 updates ahead and other people are still waiting.

Well this update is refusing to install just like many others. First - two overnight failures including once while plugged into charger. Typically I just wait it out but we are about to be gone for 8 days. So yesterday connected my BT dongle and monitored 12v SOC while driving and parked with truck on. Got SOC up to 82% after close to 2 hours. Several manual updates then failed. BT on phone was turned off and fobs out of range.

I guess I'm at least getting updates. The only one I didn't get (failed for 10 days and Ford gave up trying) was PU0306-BCF-DET. Only DC-CHG3 installed first time, all the others do this.

I wish Ford would at least tell us which criteria is causing the failure. Getting tired of their "Help us install your new update". Would be glad to help, just tell me what to do.

I wonder if this update is going to everybody. I’ve never lost a preset when getting an update so maybe there are different versions of whatever module is causing the problem and only some need the new code.
