My Lariat was built in early February and is still on 4.0.22326. as I posted somewhere (this thread?) there is no rhyme or reason to the time one might get an upgrade whether its production date, purchase date, model, trim package, its a complete mystery
Wondering if I should consider using FDRS.....

I paid for the 2 day FDRS a few weeks ago and successfully upgraded some modules. However, I have yet to see some of the features described in threads on these forums. For instance, I do not have SOC in my cluster. I do not have Apple Maps integration. And the list goes on.

I've thought about it but na. Everything is working fine and it sounds like there are some bugs with ver 6. I'm more interested in the Tesla adapter!

If I had to choose between the two, absolutely the adaptor and access to the Tesla charge network. But I have a feeling that access will drag out much longer than expected.....

Coincidentally, at the time you updated, the update that gives you the Apple maps thing was pulled to fix glitches and has now been re-released. The IPC update that gives you the SOC on the cluster had been pulled a while ago from what I have seen in the time I have been here. It seems like the new IPC update 6.8.0 will replace that old IPC update that was pulled. One member here reported getting the SOC in the IPC after 6.8.0 installed.

I received this update last night. Previous update was 6.2 before they pulled the other 6.x updates.

I would have completed all pending module updates between November 30th and December 2nd... just looking at the calendar and when the 2 day license expired.

Further, when you (graciously... seriously you help so many people here) checked last night on anything pending module or OTA for my VIN, there isn't anything.

So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Who knows? I don't know why last night's check didn't show something pending. If seems Ford is actively keeping certain updates from a range of trucks. And I seem to be squarely camped in that group.

I have yet to see any type of notification in Sync or Ford Pass app to indicate that an update is ready or has every been automatically applied. I have applied a handful of module updates through FDRS without any noticeable UX changes with the truck.

A member on the ICE forums mentioned that when he typed the VIN into FDRS for his own truck, the IPC update didn't pop up. However, when he plugged the truck in, it pulled the IPC update from the server. The same thing happened to me two years ago with my job 1 truck that was not showing the IPC update I needed as part of the BC updates. When I got my Mongoose and scanned it, it pulled the software from the servers. The only way to know is to pony up for the license and try, though. I would wait. I believe there is more coming sooner than later. Save the $50 until there are more things to install.

I just received this one this morning. I’ve yet to get 6.5. 6.8 or 6.13. Hoping they will show up soon.

Just got this going from 6.4.

Tested approach and walk away with the key fob and PAAK. No noticeable differences

The only thing I saw - and likely just me noticing it now - is that my puddle light turns off while the mirror unfolds.

Will check FORSCAN in a bit for error codes, the tow mirrors were throwing one for a LED when I installed them, wondering if this might have solved something in the background.

Failed on this update when I got up this morning. Look at the app and it says "Updated Unsuccessful - Vehicle Requires Service". Hmm that's odd...

Look closer "F-150 requires service. Contact a dealer as soon as possible" Along with a 1-800 number to call for more details.

How bad could it be. Go to truck, driver side door controls all dead, except the power windows for the rear. So no lock, unlock, mirrors out of fold position. Etc Etc. Restart, reboot, yadda yadda no joy. Call 1-800 number Ford says it's BMS related take to dealer. So I assume part of csp-23b70.

Pop out mirror manually, drive to dealer Cross Traffic & Blind spot sensors going off all the way there.

No ETA on repair but be aware the OTA update may take you out if it fails...

Well that is pretty concerning. That is like the MachE owner whos car got bricked from an update. Hopefully @Ford Motor Company will make it right for you, and quickly.
