Make sure you read the fine print and understand that you are signing up for an automatic renewal that will bill to whatever pays for your vehicle’s connected services at the then current cost of an annual renewal. This could be quite pricey as the current cost is $495!

It is a little confusing when that billing will take place. The fine print makes it sound like you will be billed 1 year from when you signed up (not necessarily a year from when your trial service ends).

To be safe, I plan to cancel about 20 days after signing up. If you cancel within 14 days the service is terminated, but after 14 days the service continues until the next billing period (I’m assuming that is 1 year for the annual plan).

If you purchase a BlueCruise plan after the expiration of the complimentary trial or included duration, your Connected Service term ...........continues until the expiration date indicated on your order confirmation and in the FordPass app, or will automatically renew if you purchase a monthly or annual subscription (“Subscription Period”).

For automatically renewing Connected Service plans, you will be charged the plan amount (plus any applicable taxes) each billing date via the payment method in your Ford Account, after you activate BlueCruise, and you will continue to be charged on a monthly or annual basis, unless you cancel.

........If you purchased a Connected Service plan, you may cancel your Connected Service plan within 14 days of receiving your initial order confirmation for a full refund, but your ability to use the Connected Service will end immediately.

After the first 14 days, your purchase of the Connected Service plan will be non-refundable.


I assume we are on an Annual Billing. And the $0 Renewal we are electing now is the "included duration". I have not found a way to non-select auto renewal so I would mark my calendar for the 14 day period beginning on the expiration date of the service to cancel, if there is a charge.

Note that after 14 days you may cancel (so do not do 20 days!), but there is no refund, but your service will continue. I would mark my calendar three times for the 14 days after today (if you took their offer today), 14 days after you receive the email, and 14 days after the renewal date. I assume it is going to take a phone call to:

I think mine processed as well. So we need reminders now in the thread for each of us to go turn off auto- renew in a few months.

For those wondering what it looks like on the server backend.....if you've taken the freebie extension, your list of subscriptions now shows two BlueCruise subscriptions...one is your paid subscription and the other one is the trial.

And I don't think anybody is going to get an email notification until the original expiration date arrives, and the extension then comes into effect. That's when you'll likely get an email saying that you've 'renewed'.

Thanks! Mine renews (according to the screen) for a "New $0 Complimentary 12 Month Plan" on 12/19/2025. I have a 2023 Lariat.

You 2022 - 2023 guys are lucky to get this. I guess I'll just go month-to-month when most of my road trips happen outside of wintertime. The standard ADAS is really annoying with all of the grannies.

I'd check the fine print. 2022 models, or at least per my window sticker, make no reference of a trial of any period. My truck window sticker says BlueCruise is included, without any limitations. On connected services, of course, it says I have a three year trial. Later window stickers specifically DID have the trial period language. I wonder if this is Ford trying to clean that up. I haven't bothered taking this up with Ford yet, my "trial" is active through later this year, but it's something I plan to explore nearer the supposed expiration. Question is whether if you accept this offer do you explicitly agree to terms that remove the potential "ambiguity" for 2022 models where BlueCruise was not sold to us as a trial.

I signed up through the FordApp. Was able to use my Ford Points (0), showed my new end date as a year past 3 free years and told to look for confirmation email. But in Ford account it still shows '27 as end date instead of '28....hoping it works...if it's free it's for me!

Same here. I went to Bluecruis and "purchased" the extra 1 year option for $0.00 and my Amex card on file popped up, and then said "Thank you for your purchase" and it said that it expires in April 27, instead of 26. It then said that an Email confirmation will be sent to you, but that was 30 minutes ago and still no Email fromFord. When I log onto my Ford account, my subscription still says April 2026, instead of 2027. I hope they're not just F@$&ingwith me. 😶
