I could only find one previous thread on this from 2022 and it looks interesting if they're going to give it to us on the Lightnings:

I visited the Ford website on my computer and found the info page:

There is a video there that explains how to activate it and in the video it explicitly says it is not available on the Lightnings, however right below the video there is this message:

So maybe they are planning on rolling it out and have just jumped the gun on pushing the banner to the FordPass app?

AFAIK, this is only for 2024+ MY vehicles. I have a LandAirSea GPS tracker installed in my vehicle.

I do have a 2024, but the option has never been there under Connected Services (and still isn't).

I just checked, its the same for me. The demo video does say for 2024 F150's/Lightnings. Its not a surprise that Ford doesnt have it together before releasing a product.

Agree, that is par for the course for Ford. This is what I do see in the demo video that says it is NOT for Lightnings:

I'm very interested in being able to get this as my insurance carrier has a discount for having a vehicle tracking system in it such as Lo/Jack which I'm hoping that this would also qualify.

You already have location services in FordPass that will tell you where your lightning is. That is what I told my insurance company and I got a discount.

Unfortunately, if someone gets your truck started it takes about 30 seconds to turn off connected services and do a master reset.

I removed the speaker from an airtag and hid it in my Lightning.

It seems highly unlikely anyone would ever want to steal an EV. No one knows how to operate them, and they’re easy to track. Thieves just aren’t interested!

1/2 of the idiots wouldn't realize it was an EV until they were driving it away. Mine doesn't have a spot in the garage, so it sits outside all night. I'd like to score the insurance discount also (though someone else posted I may be able to claim it anyway).

I'd rather have a thief steal the truck honestly then put the TCU fuse back in so Ford could steal my data on the low down.
