Spare tire lock

2022 did not come with an extra key originally. However, people using PaaK realized the FOB had the spare tire key. So, Ford or the dealers started adding the extra key. I'm going to remove the key and replace it with 2023 plug. Dealer wants an arm and a leg for extra key.

2022 Lightnings always came with 2 keys. The only Ford product that only ever came with 1 key was the 2021 Mach-E and those are eligible for 2nd key under a TSB.

They come with 2 FOBs, I'm talking a spare tire key in the glove compartment. The problem is using Phone as a Key and not having a FOB, you have no spare tire key.

Not mine. 2 FOBs, no dummy key. Also, as you indicated, my Mustang Mach-e First Edition originally came with just one FOB. Ford proposed PaaK as the second key. It caused too much customer feedback (PaaK unreliable) and they threw in the second FOB.

Same here, no dummy key. My build date was mid-September. When was y’all’s? Since I use PAAK, I keep one of my two fobs in a Faraday bag in the console. That way I have a key and fob for spare tire, service drop off, Murphy’s Law, etc.

My truck was built on September 7th.

My 23 came with a dummy key even without the lockable spare. The key fits the center console lock. I presume trucks with spare tire lock, the same key fits both.

Correct. It should also fit the bottom glove box and door lock.

After speaking with my dealer today they placed an order for both the spare tire lock and front cargo net. I think me telling them I could see it on the ordering guide finally pushed them over the edge to just take care of it (or they got tired of me badgering them).

Now I am confused here. Mine is 2023 Pro, my build is Dec 2022. I got the dummy key, but I didn't get the Cargo net. Is it supposed to be included??

Nope, removed for 2023 models.

Pro and XLT never had cargo net as standard equipment, only Lariat and Platinum. It's still in the 2023 order guide as Lariat Standard Equipment. But as mentioned, it has not been showing up. Same with spare tire lock, listed as standard for Pro and above but missing.
