Can someone remix this to add a slight angle to the rotary dial? I'm interested, but nervous about a flat mount where water or beverages can pool. Doesn't need to be extreme, just enough to prevent water from pooling around it.

The original lid design does have a very slight loft, or taper angle, with that spillage concern partially in my mind while designing (also because such slight vertical angles cause really cool patterns when printed on FDMs, haha).

The tapered lid is the one called "Shift_Box_Lid" on my Thingiverse post.

One last thought: At $30 a pop, I'm going to order a backup rotary shifter on eBay 1) in case I spill something on it, or otherwise mess it up, and 2) because I 100% dropped the damn thing down 3 concrete stairs in my garage right as I was installing everything . For such a low price, having a "backup" in your glove box or sub-frunk seems like a no-brainer.

I've printed and shipped some of the housings for members on here, Id be willing to do a few more. I think I have the process down now, with minimal messed up prints. But I dont have too much time, so I'd need $50 shipped. But its probably not a bad option for some. Not wanting to get a crazy amount of orders that I couldnt fill in a timely manner.

I saw this today - if you dont like the style of the shifter knob - doing it in black TPU should make it similar to the bronco sport style. This one is advertised as being for a Maverick.

The Maverick shifter is already all black, so I was tempted to go with it instead of the escape version, although I don't think it's illuminated / has any ambient lighting. Does anyone know if it does or not?

When you get yours installed can you post a picture? The base of the shifter seems smaller than the 2020 escape. I think the cover would fit better with the Mach E...
