2024 Lightning Lariat
Purchased a 2024 Lightning Lariat. I saw the posts regarding the rear view mirror mod/change...I don't like the reach and I really don't like touching my rear view mirror.
So decided to go this route.
If you have a lighted mirror in your visor its plug and play.
Part number for black: # JL3Z1504105ZC
This is for a truck with a sunroof. I searched for a 2023 F150 visor and just narrowed it down to a left side with sunroof, black, with remote.
Pry the trim cover off the bracket where it connects to the ceiling
Used a 7MM socket to remove screw
visor assembly swings toward driver and towards ceiling to get anchor out. When doing this step, swing visor back to normal location but fold down as if the sun was in your eyes and it will rotate out.
un plug and you are free.
As you can see the visors are identical.
I plugged in the new visor and went the reverse order and it worked perfectly!
Good luck!

Great write-up! I would miss Home Link and agree the mirror location is sub-optimal. But I'm biased in that I have had it on my visors for 25 years (3 Lariats)

Have you had any issues with the visor being loose? I've had mine replaced twice and they are still very loose. Just curious.

Absolutely ridiculous that my $74,000 XLT doesn’t even have a lighted visor so I opted to do the plug and play home link in my mirror. 5 min project.

Yes, I have to have it and also the keypad on the door! Although I don’t use the keypad much anymore, mainly just habit when I exit I push the bottom two buttons and it locks and then I remember oh yeah I have WAL-LOL

I love my keypad on the door! Especially when you leave your keys far away from you.

THe Visor part numbers are different based on if you have a sunroof or not.

If you install a sunroof visor in a non sunroof truck the visor wont close up all the way. Just a note

What's the P/N for the non-sunroof visor with Homelink?

That's pretty pricey for a Homelink mirror, but folks do say that it's plug and play, which is worth something. I don't know if that $259 is what something is worth on a leased truck though.
Agreed, for $259 I’ll use my remote.

If you don't mind buying a used part (there are new ones too) compatible Homelink mirrors can be had for under $30 (at least it was when I got mine a year ago). All you need is to order the custom wire harness ($38 shipped) from Bob's Automotive for it and you're good to go for way less than $259. I added a nice autodimming mirror with Homelink for about $65.
