I have used mine exactly once at an Airbnb that had a Tesla Level 2 setup. Most of the level 2 charging in the wild is J1772.

Yeah, that’s what I’m banking on, but I just have to be covered. Just wanna make sure that our trip goes as smooth as possible without too many glitches shouldn’t be an issue.

The Tesla Tap Mini is the way to go. I have kept one in my Mach-E for the last four years and my Lightning the last 2.5 years. They come in super handy. https://a.co/d/4fRuGtZ

I know you said destination charger, but a lot of the hotels I'm seeing are actually installing Tesla universal chargers.

The difference between them is that the universal charger has a built-in j1772 adapter which you can unlock by pressing the button on the side before you pull out the charger.

I still carry an l2 adapter with me, but I have not needed one in a long time in my area.

Also, this is just my opinion but I'm convinced every l2 adapter is the same thing, regardless of cost. I've compared expensive ones and cheap ones, and they all function exactly the same and most have the exact same design (copying Lectron or Tesla Tap)

Some of the knock offs from China might not be UL approved

I got the Lightning version of the Tesla Tap as it can pull the full amperage from some of the Tesla destination chargers out there.

Again, I appreciate all the feedback guys love this forum. I did order the A2Z adapter from Canada. Probably won’t need it much but just in case.

Be patient when you plug in. It can take a while to link up. By a while, upto a minute. That seems like an eternity when you have never used it and are a little anxious.

Adapters are one of those things where it's better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it. I have both the A2Z NACS to CCS adapter and NACS to J1772 adapter. Never once used the J1772 adapter but she's in the frunk with my CCS adapter :)

A few Tesla destination chargers are 80 amp (19.2 kW) but you're right that slower is more common. Of course that's not really relevant for the OP since 24s are limited to 48 amps (11.5 kW).

You'd have to check Plugshare comments to see if non Tesla vehicles have been able to charge at the location you're considering.
Yeah, for on the road travel use I was comparing the Tesla Destination charging options vs. Tesla Supercharger or Electrify America DC chargers....100-150kW speed....I'm planning my stops for DC fast chargers. The Tesla Destination slow charging speeds seem to only be useful if you can plug in overnight...
