Awesome thanks for the info. Is the ride better than the stock struts?
Hmmmm - I honestly dont know.

It definitely rides different now, BUT, I have no idea how much of that is the struts and how much is a heavier wheel/tire combo, and a lot more rubber on the sidewall. It drives (and looks) much more like a truck now than it did, which was what I was after.

I’m asking because I used a leveling kit and my tire guy just said that my tires are wearing unevenly and he thinks it’s the struts or the upper control arm isn’t long enough. Thanks
Have you had alignment done after leveling kit install? The camber might be out. And usually, if the front end lifted 2" or more, you'd need new (longer) upper control arms to be a to get alignment in spec.

For the inevitable questions about impact to range, I don't know yet. Haven't driven it enough since the tires to know for sure, and the speedometer is wrong too, so it will require some monitoring and math on my part to get there - its gonna be a bit before I know anything, but I'm expecting 10% hit at least, and wouldn't be surprised at 15%.

Next time its in for service, I'm going to see if I can get the them to update the tire size so that the speedometer will be accurate.
For adjusting tire size you can use forscan for that. It’s an easy adjustment.

I had it done a year and half ago when I bought the truck and a shop did it. They did an alignment, it’s on the invoice.

I had my tires rotated recently with the local tire shop (not the one that did the level and tires) and they pointed out uneven wear. They mentioned the upper control arms and gave me the name of an off road shop. I wonder if I should have another alignment done?

Could having your tires be under inflated do that too?

I would try a different shop to do another alignment. There is a possiblity, you hit a pothole or something. Ask them if camber and "toe in" numbers are close to the limit.
Underinflated tires can result in excessive wear, also, in outer and inner edges. The center of the tire bows inward, due to the weight of the vehicle. and the tire rides on edges
Below is a good explanation of what alignment terms are https://www.lesschwab.com/article/alignment/understanding-camber-caster-and-toe.html

Thanks for all the info. I’ll do that.

Looks great. I’ve been thinking about the K03s and now that I see them on a Lightning, that’s the way I’m going.

Have you tried BlueCruise since the front end lift? Still works ok?

I have, and it works fine - no issues at all.

Anyone know if the KO3 tires are louder than the KO2s? Size for size ...

@mq019 Your truck is probably my favorite one I’ve seen! Any feedback, especially mileage, after a month? Would you have any reservations about this build (Tremor rims, KO3s, and Eibach shocks) on a truck that’s going to work off-road a fair amount?

First, no reservations at all. I'd do it again (and probably sooner) if I had the chance. The truck looks amazing. The only other aesthetic thing I'd like to do to the truck is to black out the light bar - I don't mind the way the light looks at night, but I hate the white on all the other black.

I haven't had a chance yet to get the speedo updated, so it still runs slow. At 70 on speedo, its actually doing 73-74 per GPS.

Mileage is hard to say because right after I made the change, the bottom fell out of the temps, and we went for about 3 weeks below freezing and lows in the low single digit temps. That obviously affected range, so no way really at this point to tell if any range hit is from wheels/tires or temps.

I have noticed one clearance issue - its so minor that I haven't even worried about finding out exactly what it is. My driveway has a small dip where it transitions to the road, and when exiting - only when exiting - the driveway, when I'm also turning and at full steering lock, it will sometimes lightly rub something. I suspect its the fender, but not sure if its the front or back edge. I haven't worried too much about it because that's the only place I've ever had it happen, and its intermittent. I have looked and been unable to see evidence of a rub anywhere. It almost has to be the fender edges because this setup moves the wheel and tire farther away from suspension components, and I've checked lock to lock and not seen it get close to anything other than the fenders. I've never seen it touch but it is maybe a half inch or so away and nothing else on the suspension side is anywhere near that close.

I wouldn't hesitate to take the truck off road - obviously its not going to do any rock crawling and you'll have to watch ground clearances (this setup doesn't improve that much - only a slightly taller tire) but I think it would be plenty capable.

Also, the tire was amazing in the snow/rain - especially compared to the original tires (they were junk in the snow/rain). I knew they would be since I have used those tires on my Tahoe and Excursion, but it exceeded my expectations - presumably due to the weight and balance of this truck. It did exceptionally well in the snow/rain and ice.

Those look great. I decided to replace my original tires (at 32,000 miles) with the same size (275/60R20). Goodrich wasn't making the KO3s yet in that size, so I went with the KO2s and have been very happy with them. They're slightly noisier but I'm OK with that: the truck is still practically silent. Haven't noticed any big drop

in mileage due to the tires because we were still having winter temps until this week. We're doing a road trip from Tulsa to DC next month, so I'll get a better handle on mileage then.
