So my wife got a new phone (iPhone 16 Pro). Removed her old phone and PAAK / passcode from her profile. Added new phone and PAAK works just fine. It will not let her set a new startup passcode. We input the new passcode, and again to confirm it. Then it gives an error saying that it failed to add the passcode and to contact the dealer for service.

Anyone seen this or have a workaround? I've tried everything I can think of. We have completely removed her profile and set it up new... no luck.

If I recall correctly, the few times I've reconfigured PAAK on my old phone and then later when I migrated to a new phone, I had to use a unique new passcode, I couldn't reuse the old one, try to see if that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately that isn't it.

We've tried everything we can think of and we're completely stumped. It's not a critical issue, my son and I both have passwords that work and my wife knows them in the off chance that she needs a passcode. I've only used mine twice -- once to test it and once because I was at my brothers place and needed to move my truck, I was too lazy to go back inside to grab my phone that I thought was in my pocket. So yeah, minor first-world problem.

I guess I'll try asking the @Ford Motor Company BEV team...

Going to give it a few days and try again. Could be something like FordPass network issues on their end.

I had to do a PAAK reset in the vehicle to get mine to work. That will, unfortunately, delete other phones as well.
